Why do you even gamble?

Gamblers divide into two main categories , those who gamble for fun and take it as a hobby or a fun activity , and those who sadly make their life -destroy- it through gambling . The 1st category are people who make enough money from their actual jobs , the second ones are just lazy people who just want to be rich very quickly .

Sometimes when your mind is unstable and you can not control yourself, gambling only gives you one effect, that is destroying your life. Because if you gamble for fun does not mean you will have no chance to ruin your own life, it still depends on you, if you do not control yourself well, it will eventually be the same.

That is a fact. It all balls down to controlling yourself at the end. So many people usually think if they tell themselves they are gambling only for fun, it will help.

No way! As long as you are not some rich dude with a lot of cash to throw around knowing there is more to come from your investments, there would be a slight chance of getting knocked off balance and becoming addicted which like you said will ruin until the person gets back to his senses which is pretty difficult too once deep.

This post is not intended to criticize gamblers, i am just curious what drives a gambler to really gamble even when the odds are against him or even reach the point where he'd rather lose everything he has than to stop doing his gambling addiction. I said the following because i have seen friends and some relatives on my mother's side literally lose everything they have like family, wealth etc. and only a few managed to stand up again. And some of that few still gamble to this day. And an uncle was found dead from a gunshot wound, whoever did it was unknown. But rumors say that it is one of all the guys he owed large money and never payed. While a friend(not close, just a neighbor) died from suicide because his wife left him along with his 14y.o daughter and 3y.o son. Now, I ask this because i dont get it. I just don't. I mean is it even worth it? If you ask me, i don't know. That is why i am asking. And the reason why i did it here is because we all know i can't ask a gambler with this kind of questions face to face because doing that would mean mean that I wanna start a fight. I mean that might how a gambler reacts to this kind of question. Please share your thoughts on this.

For me i'm gambling because i want to put my luck in this game's just like in winning in lottery.in my own opinion gambling is not a sin  or uncurrable illnes it is only a matter of recreation to refresh yourself in a moment for all anxieties in office works.so for me gambling is a sport that can active your  mind and body and at the same time you can earn if its your lucky day.

I like to gamble for fun if I have spare money I try not to gamble solely for profit but if I do win all the better. As long as you set yourself limits it is not bad. When you start to gamble money you don't have that's where problems start.

Whatever their reasons are, know that there are reasons that will definitely blow your mind. They are definitely uniquely packaged thereby realizing how much people can sometimes bet on their lives.

There are people who gamble just for fun, people are usually rich people who have a lot of money. There are people who gamble for money and profit, people like that are people who dream of wanting to be rich in a short time. If I can gamble, I'll use it to make a lot of money and profit a lot. But I will not gamble forever, I will make business capital to look for other businesses and not rely on gambling. Gambling is something that is uncertain and illegal in many countries, including my country. So I guess it's better to find another job or business that can make my parents and family happy.

I know that, even I would sometimes fool myself, I just say I gamble for fun but in reality I want to be profitable.
My problem is that I am weak in implementing my game plan, I cannot wait to win in the long run as I am just like a typical gamblers who always want instant profit, now it makes me realize that I don't have a chance to become a professional gambler because I don't have the patience.

Nothing wrong in checking whether your lucky or not but for that, you shouldn't overspend your money or check your luck every day because that may lead to addict to these games then you may start losing more money on these games. I mainly gamble for fun and check my luck once in awhile not every day.

there are more than a million reasons for the gamblers to answer this thread,
but for me i gamble only for fun,because as what you've said the Odds for gambler
is against them.and because i really dont feel like wanting to earn because of gambling

Ome thing I know people gamble not only for money but also for seeking entertainment. If some people become more problematic in terms of money because of gambling then they still playing gambling no matter what, well that is already addiction that are hard to stop.

Upon reading your post, I could say those people you know had develop an addiction in gambling. You know addiction is already consider as mental illness, people with this problem are having hard time to stop because they experiencing hard times or irritability everytime they are not gambling so that what drives them to make way to suffice their gambling addiction. I am also a gambler but not addicted to it I have limitation of when to stop.

I'm not really into gambling but I don't see anything wrong if I or other people will try it because it can be my luck day. I just play small bets for fun and I don't go to casinos.

I used to gamble because l need extra money for everyday  ,expecting to win the game for the needs of my kids. I don't have income so that l need to look for an easy money. And gambling is just the only way l know to get an easy money. It's really a big help to me because in a little value l win it helps me to meet our needs. But maybe if l have a stable income l will stop gambling anymore.

Of course we need to gamble but gambling in casinos is different, let's just say the owner are also gambling but since they have the house edge that is why in the end they will be successful. Well friend, I just suggest but still be careful if it has experienced many got loses, because it could be have a negative impacts till make drain your money, until you have a debt to someone. It's good you try not too addicted on a gambling.

It is because we are hoping that we could win the big amount of money in gambling, and that is the reason of all of the gamblers in the gambling world. Everyone wants money, because we needed it to buy our needs and wants in our everyday living. Some of the people gamble because they wanted to have some fun and have pastime, and gambling is one of a way to kill some time.
