I have a wallet with Blockchain.info.

What are a few of the most-reputable places to directly purchase BTC? Looking for low fees and the option to purchase up to $3000-$5000 with credit card and/or bank account. I'm ok with verifying identity, provided the site is well-established and reputable.

I think coinBase will be the best option for you.

I've seen several people post about the fees for CoinBase being too high.

I did see someone recommend BitPanda, but it's not available outside of Europe. Another is CoinMama which has higher fees, but has high limits.

Leaning heavily on the information here: https://99bitcoins.com/how-to-buy-bitcoin-with-a-credit-card/

Coinbase is without a doubt one of the most rock-solid Bitcoin exchange out there. They have been oprating since 2012 and they legitimized Bitcoin businesses in the USA by obtaining financing from major VC firms and banks. Kraken is my favourite European exchange. They have the largest volume for the Bitcoin-Euro pair.

I had my first provider from LocalBitcoins, it's a nice place for begginers, and that page doesn't ask you for documents.
