The number of complaints against company Coinbase, filed in the US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), has dramatically increased.
As LendEDU report illustrates this year to Coinbase has filed 288 complaints, while last year there were only six. Thus, according to researchers from LendEDU, if the situation does not change, the number of complaints against Coinbase will reach 442 and in relative figures this growth will increase to 7288% by end of this year.
Representatives of the major company in the cryptoindustry have explained this negative trend has been a huge influx of Coinbase and GDAX userbase.
“As a whole, the industry is growing and more consumers are creating accounts. At Coinbase, the userbase is growing very rapidly. However, as the industry has grown so to have the restrictions placed on companies like Coinbase by regulators. Regulators have forced exchanges, like Coinbase, to place tight restrictions and limits on users due to anti-money laundering concerns.
