I registered on May 11th and have 8 posts in the Newbies section, but still not able to post in other sections. How long does this process take.

I'm on the same situation. Actually, I'd like to create a topic on other area. But how can I do it?

Thanks,

You need to be online for a total of 4 hours.... Check the total time logged in on the top left corner of the screen. Smiley

You must be online for 4 hours (and have 5 posts).  Shortly after those requirements are met (job runs on a schedule in background) your status will be updated to "Jr Member".  When you see "Jr Member" under you name you can post in other forums.

Note the site time will pause if you are not active on the site.  So no you can't login, walk away and come back 4 hours later.  You can see your total logged in time in the upper left under your username.

4 hours online in the post.   Like I said in my original post, interesting system of validating a "real" user vs. bot or multi.  I don't think this is an effective prevention of a "multi" user which could be used to simulate a "conversation" among more than one person, though.
