There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Lol. I use this ConfirmTX about a weeks ago and it confirms my transaction in a few hours. But now, so many complains that they paid the service fee but didnt confirm their transactions.
So basically, the dev of ConfirmTX got paid by many users and run away now. When get profits, they will stop their operation then runaway hahahaha.

there was a discussion on another thread about confirmtx.
some were saying that he is just forwarding your request to other free accelerators
even when you are paying for it, he doesn't actually do anything worth your money
he simply relies on the chance/possibility your tx gets confirmed within the promised time frame
he cannot proof and/or will not dislose the method of his acceleration
in short, he lies about the actual service he does for you!

Sorry to say that I don't feel bad for anyone who got scammed after page 3 in this thread.
I tried to warn everyone that this was most likely scam but people continued to send the OP btc.

Yeah, i stopped using them after i realised that they were using free tools available to anyone and charging money for it. You can actually submit a transaction of any size without a fee in viabtc's or antpool's transaction accelerator.

Worse, they seem to be interested in doing an ICO for this. And they are renting out ad space on their site as well.

I would not send any amount of crypto to them, for their service.

People aren't going to check this thread until they already suspect they've been scammed. ConfirmTX seemed legit for a while, only until the last few weeks. Unfortunately their service did work for a while and many claimed it was legit. I've used it before and had my first confirmation in <20 minutes and paying less than the recommended tx fee.

Apparently there are more free tx accelerators like viabtc, but they're not winning on SEO.

ConfirmTX has very good SEO right now along with reddit and other forum posts recommending them, etc.

I've posted here as well for visibility.

Last time this happened the admin did refund people, but only after they complained. Yes they have good SEO but that doesn't mean that they are the best choice for accelerators, and anyone naive enough to pay a fee for their service deserve to get scammed.

They probably just manually submitted transactions into a free transaction accelerator and charged people money for it.

That is the most likely thing that happened. But just hoping that admin comes back and repays everyone.

It's a scam. Zero chance of 'admin coming back and repaying everyone'.

PLZ Help!

1. They were probably only just submitting your transaction to the free antpool transaction accelerator anyways, so they are basically charging a fee for a service that was actually completely free to access for anyone.

2. They did not refund customers that did not get their transactions confirmed within the timeframe they promised.

So even though they couldn't do anything to your actual transaction, they were scamming probably hundreds of people from their money.

And now, he's not responding to anyone anymore, which is disgraceful.

the most of that is bullshit i think, can someone confirm it?

acceleration is possible if it is done by the miners/nodes itself by including their preffered transactions
but confirmtx never show or explain his affiliation with any current working miners
read page 5-6, you can see a few complains and no responses from confirmtx
a few more unanswered complains in his (confirmtx) other thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2256407.40
cod opened scam accusation thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2488520.0
