Power Cost VS Location etc.

So I live in the East Bay, near San Fransisco. Tier 1 is 19 cents/KWh & at > 500KWh/month it's Tier 2 @ 27 cents!! 
So I have 2 solar systems. In the summer I can generate about 2000KWh/month, winter is far far less. So needless to say I pay a ton for power here & while mining GPUs can still be profitable, it's no where close to what someone paying 8 cents could get.

So I'm moving my rigs to Utah. Luckily my family owns storage bays so it was worth it to pay for internet & a bunch of cameras to get 8-11 cents/KWh. It's literally saving me hundreds a month & I might even end up covering the bay roofs with solar panels in the near future.

Now I'm wondering what everyone else is paying, where you are & what methods you've used to save/generate power?

Here in Mexico the fee is subsidized as long as you do not spend more than 250kw per month, which really sucks because usually that is what a regular home consumes.
In average you pay 10c/kw.

The problem starts when you exceed those 250kw, you need to pay 22c/Kw for all the consumption of your entire home.
So, if you are planning to mine with a couple of GPU's you end up paying more of electricity than what you earn.

I thought electricity was cheaper on the US.

Yeah that sucks. I'm in a more expensive area in California so the average on recent charts show CA at 15 cents. Solar helps but they only pay me like half for generating than they charge me for pulling the same amount from the grid.

If I had a few hundred K I'd totally get a ton of panels & batteries.

in asia i got 11cent/kwh, not complaining about it the profits its about 400-500% from power it self
