Hi, are you guys afraid of posting or sharing gambling related topics & news in your personal facebook ?

is it because afraid of siblings, parents or girlfriend noticed it ?

or dont wanna let your workmate, colleagues know that you addicted to gambling ?
I don't post too often on my facebook account I mostly just chat with my friends and family. My friends already know that i'm gambling by sharing my screenshots and because I brag my winnings to them when I win. Posting it on my facebook account is just unnecessary for me because most of my facebook friends are not gamblers so they won't gain interest from those.

- Yes its always adviced to not share what you will win in gambling in your social accounts because your local authority might knock at your door for either tax invasion or to arrest you if gambling is illegal in your country. You might know how anything can go viral overnight in social media.

- That can also be secondary reason...

- What others things about me doesn't matter much for me...

That is true, but I don't think just because you won like $100 that they will do so. Maybe if you won something like $1,000,000 and it was the talk of the town that you won that much then you'll likely generate heat towards you. I mean, winning even probably $10,000 wouldn't bring too much attention to what you are saying to the point the tax man knocks on your door because of it.

With so many people now signed up to Facebook it’s no surprise that most if not all online casino/gambling sites will also have their own Facebook page. In my point of view, not all things is I need to post in facebook or other  social media. For example, I won a gamble, do I still have to post it?if I post it ,I might be famous or viral. There is absolutely nothing to fear, there are just things that should be kept or private for security.

i seldom post on my personal facebook account on a gambling related topics, i am a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)/ Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and boxing fanatic and some of my friends list are into it, so whenever there are some big fights i will post on my facebook wall on whose gonna take my bet some of my friends would engage on that betting. it is so much exciting and my circle of friends and family members know that too because it is an occasional gambling.

I never post any thing related to gambling in any social media personal accounts. I just want to keep these things personal and don't want to make it to a public. It all depends on individual and I don't have any friends who gamble so no need to post these things in my personal accounts. I only play dice games or some times cricket betting.

I think it's okay to post about it because it's your personal Facebook profile, and you can control what you post, share, etc. on it, and it doesn't matter what but people would still judge you for what you post. It doesn't automatically mean that you are addicted to gambling when you share it, it's just that you can lose a lot if you don't control yourself. I know some people who have been addicted and hopefully, they become better.

its hard to become better if you already an addict and mostly addicted to gambling wont let his pick be broadcast because he's avoiding that someone
will influence his bets and they wanted to make sure that fix match wont interfere with their bets, they wanted to make sure that they are the only one
who will take advantage of it.

No I am not afraid of posting any gambling related topics or news on facebook or any social media sites because  my family and friends know I don't gamble that much and if I do, I'm not a heavy gambler I just gamble for fun. I just post them if the topic or news are something I can relate to or something I can tell or announce to my friends about gambling.

hi, just my 2 cents, somebody just simply cannot accept gambler, you know what i mean ? I might lose my job if the manger or superior dont like gambler or they thought it will affect their life/tasks etc etc

I see, so it's related to your career. If that is so, you should be careful or you might put your job/career at risk. I understand on how you want to secure yourself from those people that has higher positions on your company. But if there's no need to post something on social media related to gambling then simply don't post it.

i think he can make new account for only posting/sharing gambling related topics and news in facebook so you don't have to worried with other person that might not agree with you or has higher positions than you. you can access your new account from another devices like another cell phones or laptop or else so your job is still safe and no one will know that you have 2 different account.

Nice idea, he can but for me it's time consuming to have other facebook account just to share what he want to share about gambling. But if he's dedicated to it, that can be a good alternative for him. If he can't resist to share articles or news about gambling just don't add your colleagues so that your job won't be affected.

Basically you are telling him to cheat. Not a good idea. It will definitely help him but I am not a person who supports double standards or betrayal. If something is prohibited then let it be that way. All that glitters are not gold.

Anyways, I am not here to debate on right and wrong but if I were him, definitely, I wouldn't have even thought about gambling.

fortunately i never had any problem during a gamble and i considers still able to control myself so i think i'm not addicted and as far as i remember that i was never did it and indeed one of the reason why i didn't use social media to sharing gambling related topics because the gamblers always considered as bad behavious in my country so i don't want they know i gamble even not regularly
There is no need to get afraid of anyone. People will always say something rubbish even if you become an angel. You can't stop anyone.
However, I also won't say to keep on making announcements about your actions because the less they (whole world) know the better it is. I only say one thing, live your life the way so that you don't have any regrets.

Yes you don’t have to make a list of your actions “to-do” and then announcing it to the whole world. Less people know better it would be. As here said, if you are still an angel, still people will find something bad in you. So make your decisions according to your views, not to others.

Exactly, it's better if you share without compelling anyone to strictly stake your suggested bets or you just keep it to yourself and stake. I prefer the latter even though I do share my bets sometimes on some threads in this forum but it is likewise not to portray myself as an expert but to share and probably help a brother somewhere else.

It's fun to let others people see that it's somehow possible to do impossible bets because it's somehow a motivation. If you share something, I think you want something to earn in return because some people do that its affiliates I guess. I hope that somehow, no one can get addicted to seeing someones post in social media.

No, because why would I use my personal account and not make a dummy? If I'm addicted and my family doesn't like it or will not like the idea that I'm into gambling then I will not do it in a way that that they might find out.

i see in my facebook account many people is sharing their affiliate links, sometimes i feel annoyed and i only thinking that why they don't share like once in a day or every 3 days a week than sharing for five times a day. but now i am already blocked some content that i feel i am not good with their sharing and i wish in future they don't share too often like before.

I think its not being afraid but more of protecting yourself specially if you are working and don't wan't your boss see your gambling activity. Although there was one funny incident I remember like 5 years ago that I'm gambling in a landbased casino and suddenly I saw my manager playing at craps if I'm not mistaken. LOL. It was funny and awkward situation, but we just look at each other in the eye and saying don't you ever tell this in the office. LOL. But yeah, for me I won't do that specially if your work is very strict. Specially if you miss work and you just posted that you just came from a casino or just finished online dice game.

I'm hiding to my family and friends that I'm into gambling and I'm in your the same situation that I'm scared to share related topics on my facebook profile. Once they knew about it,they will think different about me and will probably treat me different but only for those people that are not my real friends.

If your alt account in facebook utilize it to make that spread the news about gambling site and information of it.  If you just the bitcoin and gambling related information most of the people would not look at you for that post and all. If you more number of friends only it will reach to many people.
