What the heck are you talking about. ETC is Ethereum Classic i.e. classical ethereum blockchain. After the DAO accident Vitalik made decision to roll back all transactions to the moment before the DAO was hacked and Ethereum had been splitted to Ethereum and Ethereum Classic. They both has the same structure and even same blockchain before that accident. That is why ETC is not ERC20 token. It supports ERC20 token standart. What concerns the wallet. You can use the same wallet and even the same address as for ETH. I recommend myetherwallet. Be careful, avoid fishing sites. Always go to myetherwallet only through your own bookmark.

Maaan, how it got stolen? I'm using coinomi and got no problems with it. You may want to use ClassicMask, it's a browser plugin. It's like metamask but for ETC.

Many times asked same question. Here is my solution. If you are going to hold all of your coins you can use Ledger Nano but if you don't have much coins and going to spend them daily you can use myetherwallet If you are planning to trade there are some good exchanges to store small amount of money (Don't risk too much)

You should use Ledger Nano S or Trezor and forget about hacks, fishing and so on Ledger Nano S can store a maximum of 4 to 5 coins. Then he is full. More coins do not fit in. There must be a coin cleared then before A new coin is installed

I would recommend Trezor hardware wallet, but you should read the reviews yourself to see if that's what ur looking for (eg. here: https://besthardwarewallets.com/)

The question is to know if you lost ETC because of a wallet leak, or because of a human error (fishing, clicking on wrong link... etc) Generally it's our habits that we must change and not an issue of wallet.
If it was because of the wallet, indeed, you should think about the nano ledger

I prefer you to that, myetherwallet is the best wallet. But some of wallet are so good. As like Jaxx, Classicethereallet thus are also good. You can try this one from my suggest or another. Best of luck. Try your best.
