if its small amount like ten dollars something like that you can use bitify.com to receive the payment,if its small amount its better to deal directly with the user. Ask him to pay first for your service. At the begining everybody will be hesitant to pay you first. So you need to build trustlevel first. For that first vouch your service to any 3 or 4 hero or legendary members or green trust members of this forum. In that way people will start trusting you....

Actually this is not easy for beginners, we know that many scams in the internet world especially for beginners. you should have more references about bitcoin, such as wallet to receive bitcoin and others.
Accepting bitcoin for a service is never a problem as long as you are ready to take necessary precautions and the last time I checked, that is the reason why escrows are there in the first place and being preferred by all the people who are all concerning the security of their transactions to avoid getting scammed.

There are also some methods you can always use as long as you want to thread that lane and it does not even have to be on this forum. In your own way you can always get to find a way to render some services offline and get paid in cryptocurrency with the use of bitpay and the likes.

You do not really need to do much, get a bitcoin address and when you offer your services tell your customers that you are accepting bitcoin as well, many people are not going to even know what that is but there are going to be a few that are going to be very enthusiastic about the possibility of using bitcoin to buy a service and it's very likely that they are going to pay you in bitcoin if they have any.

Paying the bill in the form of bitcoin or paying for any of the service which you have enjoyed with bitcoin instead of the paper money is a very good thing and that it can help you in eliminating the need of keeping paper money in your wallet and that you can get all the things and services which you need to have by paying in the form of the bitcoins and that we need to encourage this thing.

I think it's a bit difficult for you ... I love the suggestion to read more in various forums and learn
Obviously, for someone who is deciding to take a path, there should always be enough information to guide. It is not that hard anyway since all he would need is to define the service, sell his market to his targets, can even come up with some free stuffs for the mean time to advertise his works and if he is good, he will get to see so many people that would patronize him and by then it would make things easy with respect to collecting payments.

At this very moment, you will not find enough places where you can provide your service and then get the payment in the form of bitcoins or you give your bitcoin to someone who provided you with the services because most of the people are still confused and are unable to make such kind of decision because of the least interest of the government in declaring these coins as legal currencies.

and try searching the internet, which gives bitcoin salary to freelance, because there are some sites on the internet, freelance is paid with bitcoin.

There are people invested on the bitcoin for long time since 2009. Nowdays many websites started accepting the bitcoin as payment mode. So the API has been shared from the payment provider option like Bitpay and etc...

Do you know Microsoft accepted the bitcoin as a payment for their website for more than 2 years.
Once I heard that bitcoin salary has been announced from the Dell.Inc but there is no information after that whether they are  really doing it or not.

Yes i personally still do not know about such places where people may have the opportunity to use bitcoin for different services, in my area i am using bitcoin only for recharging purposes and nothing more but still i am confident that a time will come when we will become able to use bitcoin for so may other purposes.

Hello

I'm totally new to bitcoin.
What needs to be done if i want to accept micro bitcoin for services that i offer? What type of set up i need to do?

Steve
What kind of job are you doing? Cause it will be more better if you mentioned what kind of job is that. If it’s something that has to do with freelancing, then it will be a really difficult thing to do. Why I said it’s a difficult to do is because Bitcoin doesn’t have escrow, you will have to find someone that will work as the escrow.

It might end up being a scammers that will run off with the money. Apart from that, let’s say that you’re in a situation that you didn’t use escrow, what if you work for someone and they refused to pay you, and you just end up with doing a free work? Trust me, it can be really frustrating. Or what if you’re not really good in your job and you keep on doing a bad job? So this is not easy.

Yeah it is the right way. Create your blockchain account and when you give services to your customers give then your blockchain account address but you can use it when your customers also use blockchain address and have bitcoin and are willing to give you bitcoin for your services. In the future all the people will make their payments from their wallets, but it will take some time.

Nothing is difficult if you have patience and diligence guy. You are a newbie, you will probably meet some troubles that brings you lots of challenge, that’s w why you have to understand about what you are going to do next. If you have knowledge, everything will be more easy for you than you know nothing. First up, I offer you to creat your own bitcoin wallet, next people should be published that your service is accepted bitcoin. In general, you have to be more careful, because it’s too tricky with newbie. Good luck!

Of course, it is a faster means if transferring funds. It would eventually be accepted world wide.
Btc was very recently used to buy a house.

Since you are new in the cryptoworld have a research first so that it will not be hard for you to understand things you will encounter upon doing so. When you start to offer your service, you might try on bounties and airdrop, it will not only give you micro bitcoin but a bitcoin or ethereum.

things you should do first of course you should have a bitcoin wallet as a way to receive payment through bitcoin for the service you will develop. but there is one thing you need to remember that bitcoin prices have an unstable price so you should certainly think of things that you think would be detrimental. so I mean if you open a payment method using bitcoin at a price you specify, you will definitely receive a loss when the bitcoin price decreases.

You must have a bitcoin wallet to keep your coins/earnings.
There are some freelance sites that allows clients to post jobs which they will have to pay in bitcoin. Like upwork and freelancer.com, these two sites started accepting bitcoin newly,  but you can hardly come across those jobs.
To find them,  Just go to Google Search page and type ?jobs for bitcoin on upwork/freelancer?. You can hardly come across writing jobs, all you will see is mostly about software developing etc.
Bitcoin is no doubt something which everyone will wish to have in the present day.

But the knowledge about Bitcoin actually is simple enough, as long as we get information from the right person/place. OP wants to use a service based on micro payment, whereas now Bitcoin tx fee is starting to increase, so I do not recommend to use 3rd party merchant like Bitpay, whereas if transaction done in small amount amount better use peer-to-peer transaction.

It's a good thing you are trying to recive payments for the services you offer in bitcoin. We need of people like you to grow the bitcoin value. To start accepting, you need to open a wallet with a bitcoin wallet provider like blockchain.info. You would be given your wallet address which you can give to clients who want to pay you in bitcoin.
