Looks like they corrected the story.  It originally said $85,000 instead of $850.  Along the same line, there was a CBNC story a few months ago that caught a lot of attention ...it said $100 invested in Bitcoin in 2009 would be worth $75 million.  And that was Bitcoin cracked $2000, before the recent run-up ... It's more like $200 million today.  It's hard to believe that everyone had a chance to turn $100 into $200 million in 8 years.  It may have been the chance of a lifetime.  I missed that boat....

Yikes, haha. Thanks for sharing, good for a laugh. Grin

HashFace, I agree 100%. I try to keep reminding myself that hindsight is 20/20. Easier to say, "why didn't I buy Bitcoin when it was so cheap?" now, but at the time when it was really cheap you would have never said, "I'll buy $500 worth in case it goes up to $5000 per coin". At that time, it would have been completely unprecedented. Instead you were thinking, "oh man, I don't want to lose this $500." Hopefully you're not losing sleep over it, lol.

It's hard to believe that if you used to invest in bitcoin, you could have a very good profit from that. And now you have to be satisfied with what is, once such an opportunity has been missed.

Ha ha... The author must have received a flak for this article. It is mind boggling how people who publish their articles on such websites get their numbers so wrong. Some basic proof reading is necessary.
