Please guys we need first to build a solid goldcoin base before we go to an exchange. We have seen to many failures and have some patience.

Your kinda niave, if you think people want this to hit an exchange, because they give a fuck about GLD coins future. People with large ammounts of it, want to dump it. Period. Beyond that dump, noone cares

I can assure you, you do not make up the majority of GLD Coin holders. PWC was voted most popular on these forums, and look at it now. But your right, I'm sure GLD will be different Roll Eyes

Hey, markets go up and down, you know. If GLD drops that low, I will be in their with my truck loading up, and I am not selling currently.  I think it is highly unlikely GLD would ever go that low. The only reason I stopped buying GLD is because I ran out of my limited supply of bitcoins, but I am in negotiations to bring more investment into GLD  Grin

'negotiating to bring more investment into GLD' is synonymous with: 'I have been talking to some friends, and they might invest in GLD too' Grin

And, what, exactly is it, that you feel sets GLD coin apart from the other 10 coins, released in the same time frame? All of which, are now dead....

We should not rush

We should not petition every coin that has done this, just goes down.

Lets build a community.

When investing into a speculative market, it is sometimes a good idea, to pick up a handful or more of what is available to be bought.

I have told you some of the strong points that I see in GLD. There are alot of forces in effect on any one of the coins, that are out of the hands of any one individual often times, except for the people who are deeper into this at the top, sort of thing, like Satoshi was or is.

If you see some coins going up, then look for other coins that are lower, to rise up in their midst to match with where they are at.

I learned that from reading investment books. ( It works like this, and it is true. It has proven over and over again in the markets)

GLD is hugely undervalued compared to BTC, and LTC, and in comparison to all the other alt-coins that are at BTC-E,

But look for GLD to rise up to meet and match with the other alt-coins, but of course, GLD does need to get onto an exchange or exchanges that do justice for GLD, so that GLD will rise to meet or even surpass many of the other alt-coins.
Some exchanges may be better than other exchanges, but if a coin goes onto an exchange that is not doing well, then that does not mean that the coin is all that bad, but may mean the exchange needs to do some marketing and advertising work, or some technical work, you know. Gosh, try not to be so pessimistic, people, Bitcoin is booming, man. Smile and get in early and lets all make some bucks.

Consider how a coin named Goldcoin might do on an exchange like mtgox? Surely, people would buy the Gold

I have to tell you the truth, that the name Goldcoin grabs the eye of investors right away. They will want to buy the GOLD Coin. Guaranteed. Grin

Like I told you, LOOK FOR GOLD TO RISE UP TO MEET OR MATCH WITH THE OTHER 'ALT' COINS, BUT WITH A NAME LIKE GOLDCOIN, then gold has the advantage.

GLDcoin is a racehorse, man, and just watch it go.

I do not think there is any hurry to get on an exchange.

In fact, I believe that GLDcoin ought to create its own exchange, and do massive marketing, and GLDcoin can stand alone, where other coins will not. Most of these alt-coin exchanges out there, it would likely make them look good, to have GLD on their exchange.

Mark my words. Grin

So, the name? That's all you got? Competing with coins that have instant transactions, and dynamic diff levels, that's the best you can do? GDL Coin, is the best, because it has Gold in the name?

Look at the picture with the big G.

Look at the name: Gold

Now think about how all the masses of people who are going to be coming along, who know little to nothing about bitcoin, might be thinking, when they see the Goldcoin.

Yes, the name is very important. So is the pic of the coin.

I think I already said that I am not all that acquainted with all the technical of the various coins.

I downloaded gldcoin qt exe and no viruses were detected. Whereas I did detect viruses on one of the other alt-coins earlier that same day. I am not going to mention which alt-coin it was, but it is a coin that is on an exchange already. I do not think 'being on an exchange' is a proper measure of a coins worth, all on its own.
I chose to invest into GLDcoin instead of the ones on the exchanges, because the alt-coins on the exchanges are priced higher already, whereas GLDcoin is way down in price in comparison.

I saw the name GLDcoin and knew immediately I had to look at this.

That impressed me, that no viruses were detected when I downloaded gldcoin qt exe

The client works fine for transactions so far. Only thing is, some kind of large blocks that are causing the client to try and synch with the large blocks, but I just close the client, and open it again, and the large blocks are gone; and others in the GLD community are working on that, as has been mentioned on the forums. Likely any of these coins have ongoing work that needs to be done.

The GLDcoin community was kind and donated me some coins to get started, and as I looked into GLDcoin more, I decided I was going to put all my bitcoins into it, to buy as many GLD as I could.
They likely won't be doing that forever, but just because it is so early yet, I think, to get people interested in GLD.

Most the coins are being followed by people based on faith, and not works.

You are asking me about the technical works of the GLDcoin, about which I don't know much about; but rather, I am mainly supporting GLDcoin based on faith.

Yes, I like the name, and I like the pic. They treated me good and gave me some coins at first. I saw they had their own forum site, so that showed they were doing work to increase.

By faith. Not works. I don't know much about the technical side of the coin, but the client works for sending and receiving gldcoins, if that is what you mean.Smiley

They all have instant transactions.  Bitcoin's transactions are instant.  I can send coins from btc-e to coinbase, and sell them within 1 minute flat after initiating the transfer, and it hits my bank account in 3 days.  Same with sending from my wallet.  I can trade before I even receive a confirmation (just a question mark) in the wallet.

The sub 1 minute transaction times mean nothing.

The current wallets aren't capable of receiving instant transactions.  Rather you need to write custom code to watch for the transaction from the specific address (they need to provide the address at payment) and the same software needs to watch for double spends.  Thats it.
