Take a look at the graphs, from around a month ago Bitcoin had a huge drop to 2k, which was probably due to people who were scared of segwit. Now the price is 5000 which means bitcoin more than doubled it value over one month.

A lot of this can be contributed to bitcoin cash being a huge flop, and how no one really paid attention or pumped it, except the huge pump to 700 at the start of bitcoin cash.

Cheers to all bitcoin users especially to those who hold it! But bitcoin reaching $5000, I still think that its not the end of it. I personally think that bitcoin's price will soar to somewhere in between $7500-$8000 given the time that it took bitcoin to reach this price after the split.

Yeah Roger Ver tried to pump it a few times but that doesn't really stir up transactions now does it? Lol. If it lasts at all I'd be surprised. It's worth maybe $5 each to play with the technology.

I saw on preev.com already reached 4.966 USD but it slumped to 4,900 USD, I hope it will continue moving again towards 5.000 USD. I am very enthusiastic with 5,000 USD in the next few hours but it seems to be going to take more time in at least 24 hours. lol

I own it. Bought most of it in 2014, and from the looks of things I have 10 times my money ROI.  I will continue to dollar cost average into it. No trading, because that's what kills the profit.

Coinbase says it peaked at $4980 within the past hour and has since pulled back to $4872.  Blockchain.info is at $4952 and still climbing, but not yet at $5000.

This is why bitcoin should be trusted and worked with forever. Just imagine at the start of this year bitcoin was around 1.5K and hyphen it jumped 2k plus until June month. During the hard fork it went down to 1.8k an another opportunity to invest money which again came up all upto 2.7K which was another doubling of our bitcoin. Now here we come, bitcoin stands at 5K which another doubling period of bitcoin. This is so synchronised that we could earn in multiplication with bitcoin each couple of months. If this kept happening then we are rich pretty soon.

Could also mean we're in a bubble.  I don't expect we're going to blow right up
to $10,000 by the end of this year, or anywhere near there.  And if we do, I'd have
serious second thoughts about staying in the market.  Have any of you lived through
a bubble?  Seen one?  I'm fully a bitcoin kind of guy, and I would even say I love btc,
but I tend to think everyone is getting far too excited.  Especially the people who are
new to it and starting to buy like crazy.  That's how the bubble inflates...

Yeah but it was rather quick. Kind of a little taste of what it is like for BTC to reach $5000. We are going down a little as of the moment. In Bittrex right now, the price of BTC is at $4800 plus. But I am sure within the month, $5000 will be an easy thing.

It is both sadness and happiness I am experiencing right now. The thing that I support in my life has now reached that far and will go HIGH in the following years. And also sadness because bitcoin is so high that I can't buy anymore bitcoin.

wow. Guess most investors really get what they want as a profit now but who knows it may even go higher than 5000 in time. Guess lets just ride the tide.
