Hi
Need help, i have an old wallet.dat from 2011.
And now when i import the file inte bitcoin core it only shows zero bitcoins.
and when i use electrum it says wallet.dat file error.
i have tryed the old bitcoin 0.70 but it stop syncing at 49%.
is there any way recover this wallet.dat and recover my bitcoin?
i have the bitcoin adress as well...

Try starting Bitcoin Core with the -upgradewallet option.

If there's a problem with the wallet syncing, you may want to find that problem first as it means there's probably a problem that MIGHT effect the later release.
How many addresses do you have in that wallet do you know? If you post the addresses here (if there's only a few) then I can see the important ones (the ones that hold bitcoin in) and you can then import that into the latest version of bitcoin core (or electrum if there's still a problem with the core downloading).

EDIT: there was a hard fork at version 0.8.0 so that's probably your wallet issue. Use either mine or the method above, both will work (mensa's is a bit simpler and mines a little faster to get your coins out with electrum).
