But with the looming HF this October of November, people are now buying for the anticipated air drop. So I would assume that $5000 can be touch is the next coming days. Unlike the Aug 1 split wherein the price surge took only 24 hours.

It's because they said that China banned bitcoin, but I guess it is not really totally banned, I believe that bitcoin will recover its price so I suggest that don't panic and everything will be alright in the future. Just wait and see. Invest now and gain in the future!

It is very sad to see a lot of the rumors are spreading the fake news but it is very normal because the price of the bitcoin keep on moving up and down, in my country as well the price of the bitcoin goes down some days and then grow again, but it is not only the bitcoin but the whole digital currency is getting a bit down but bitcoin has a lot of potential it will increase in short time.

You got it and its already happening now! Bitcoin is continue to rise after it falls down, so we have a right prediction that bitcoin will rise again and we will gain profit and that is today. So hopefully it will stays in that amount or maybe increase more.

I think the fall of bitcoin is due to the decision of China about the banning of bitcoin trading and ICO. Most of the investors thought that if bitcoin fails in the world market their investment will be lost and nobody wants to lose his investment. That’s why they prohibit investing in bitcoin. It is a usual scenario that is so much expected like you have said. However, it seems the altcoin dump this time around was far more than what we had during the BCC, although close.

Lots of people have learned a whole lot from the previous one and are apparently not going to dull themselves this time around as they expect to get something good from the fork. The price will obviously rise further after the fork as we start seeing a huge dump in the BCC for bitcoin.

Unfortunately big players and countries can manipulate price.
People should not listen to any news if they have invested in bitcoin, we should be smarter. There is always hidden meaning when someone big is spreading fud, it usually means market is going to be manipulated and mostly people don't see it.

We should even see more attempts soon when more big players keep coming into the industry since manipulation has always been their way and that is how they have been making a whole lot of bucks with even fiats in the past.

I agree. People are consolidating their BTC and selling off their altcoins to get free coins from the Bitcoin Gold hard fork. Then, like a broken record, we will do it again for the Seg2x hard fork. If you know what you're doing there are many trading opportunities to be had with all that's happening. Proper timing is key.

We are trading above $4800 now and we are getting closer to $5000 again. I'm hoping that it can be sustain though. This is traders mental barrier, so if the price drop, I won't be surprise. Personally, I will not sell though, will continue to hold and will sell only if I needed it. We already know the reason behind all this price movement. Traders and investors are entering so that they can get free coins when Bitcoin Gold comes along Oct. 25. And when every is calm, they will immediately dump the coins, then buy more bitcoins or to back on altcoins. Oct. 25 is two weeks from now and there's a lot of thing that could happen, so expect the unexpected, we may see the price go to $6000.  .

I also believe that but I think the biggest barrier Bitcoin need to get over at this time is 5k$ so when Bitcoin can do that I think it'll get to 10k$ soon so that why I've decided to not sell my Bitcoin when it reach to 5k$. Yes, $5000 is a big mental barrier to overcome for most traders. We still haven't touch and its looks like we dip as the current price is $4700. We even hardly touch $5000 yet and now, selling has occurred. You can't blame people cashing out today because the price is very high and the profit taking is good. However, those selling today will regret their decision once we get to $5000. They anticipate that it can't be cross, but I believe otherwise. We will just have to wait and see as we get closer to Oct 25 and I'm sure $5000 will be touch and overcome.

If that's your case sir you should go buy that property as this is also a good diversion of investment. Of course, you still have some pieces of bitcoin in your wallet that can profited when we surpass $5000.
But there's also a reason why people wanna hold their coins now, is it because of the bitcoin gold that they can get in hard fork in October 25 like you can have the equivalent of your bitcoin. It's an aitdrop again so we can expect money again.

The usual scenario and I think the most reasons why btc price climb up high because of the preparation of upcoming hard fork so the demand is becoming high. And the altcoin are become red in our blockfolio but it will recover soon.

Well, it seemed as such. Not 100% scam though since we know China has been looking for a way to not allow the digital currency go against their monetary policies. However, the whales blew it out of proportion with the help of the media so as to use it to make a lot of profit which they have done already and smiling hugely over some people's funds who sold out of panic right now. It is just a crazy world, isn't it?
