Guys,

I am a noob,a total beginer, I admit but this software managed to drive me nuts in these last 3 days. So, I read the reviews and install the wallet, configure a new vault, add a new account, generate a paying invoice and I when to the ATM and sent for the first time in my life some bitcoins to that address. I did it before synchronising Bitcoin Core and of course the bitcoins were not showing up on my account. Ever since, I have sinchronised Bitcoin Core QT ( waited a damn long time for it), I have used anotehr nodes, tried adding the 24 words to other wallet, exported that b32 file ... nothing allows me at least to move the bitcoins to a more convenient wallet.
The closest I got was blockchain.info wallet, the one that at least shows me the money... but asks for a private key to be able to use them. A private key I can't seem to find in mSigna. Tried the words, that doesn't do the trick...

Look, I really need to have someone telling me if there is anything left for me to do or the bitcoins are lost for good....

I know is my fault for not synchronising the Bitcon Core QT first, but still... they should make a warning that this wallet is for advanced users, I am not the only newbie to fall in this trap....

Hopefuly someone here will teach me how to handle this situation....

Thanks

Going to sleep now... hopefuly someone will tell me something, I know you guys must be tired of all these questions from newbies but I have done my share of reseraching the web 3 days in a row with no luck in solving this situation, I messaged the mSigna team also but who knows when or if they are going to answer, maybe among you someone can lead me in the right direction... thanks!

I'm not sure they will be easily recoverable... mSIGNA uses "MultiSig" P2SH addresses for everything... even single signature addresses (They're set up as 1of1 addresses)... this makes it quite difficult to export the keys Undecided

The issue with P2SH addresses, is that you generally can't just "import a key" into another wallet and spend coins... you need to know what the original script was.

with the xpriv, there is a chance you could just recreate the private/public keys... and use something like coinb.in to create redeem scripts and craft manual transactions and sign them to be able to spend the coins... but unfortunately, I don't know what the BIP32 derivation path is for mSIGNA... I can't find any record of it being mentioned anywhere... and I've been looking through the mSIGNA github without success... I'm not terribly familiar with C++ so some of the code doesn't make a lot of sense to me Undecided

At this point, your best bet is to try and get mSIGNA talking to your Bitcoin Core node so you can just send the coins out of the wallet. The fact that you sent coins before it was synced up shouldn't make any difference. mSIGNA should still be able to find them.

In the bottom right corner of the mSIGNA window, do you see something like "483594/483594" with a Green Tick icon?

If not, then it would seem that mSIGNA is not talking to your Bitcoin Node properly...

Also, if you manage to get in touch with mSIGNA support, maybe you can ask them what the BIP32 Derivation Path is Wink
