Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I recommend investing in bitcoin because it is potentially long-term and seen from its current good growth from year to year, but you must make own decision and preferably before investing more in searching for information about the coin will to invest and seeing market price movements.

I am buying XVG it seems really undervalued, and it is more anonymous than a lot of the other ones out there.

Hi - Newbie here..I would like to put down 1000 USD next week.. What would your advice be to me?
I wouldn't advice you to consider investing in bitcoin with all your $1000, the risk is currently high in all bitcoin investments. The wiser move would be to spend 50% on bitcoin and the other 50% on altcoins including ICOs. They are a lot of coins which went down and they have great potential and might benefit in a long run. Consider investing monero, omg, waves, neo, komodo, bancor, they might benefit you after a few years.

As everybody naturally, I'll tell Bitcoin. If you ask why BTC: Bitcoin is very fast, works that do with Bitcoin you don't have an extra charge, percent is zero, privacy supplied completely, don't have any inflation risk and etc. The main thing of Bitcoin is the money that you'll gain. I think the list will help you to concrete your decision.

You have to set your own goals first. What do you want, how long you want to hold those coins or do you want to be a day trader? Why not try to set that all with bitcoin and your $1,000 can make $200 for just a couple of days and after getting some profit use that for buying alts.

Hi - Newbie here..I would like to put down 1000 USD next week.. What would your advice be to me?
The no. 1 crypto would be the best to invest your money with which is Bitcoin. Bitcoin remained on the top because of its large community that makes a high demand which highly affects the market value of it. It is the best coin today because its market value reached the 4500$ mark and is still continuously rising. On this coin, you will have an assured profit and will also have high return of investment.

Throwing LTC into the mix, if you get some on the next dip it has the potential to climb to $100 in the short term.

I see on bittrex that neo and omg seem to be popular by btc volume. I am considering putting something into them after I read what they do and it will be a trade for longer other than short keeping.

I would highly recommend you to get siacoin and ripple
Siacoin all tine high has been more than 1k sats and recently it has dropped drastically I'm not sure if the price will reach 1k sats again but even if it become 7k you get 3 times which bitcoin won't be able to provide you for this year atleast
Second coin would be ripple buy now and sell for 1$ or atleast 0.6$ before this year , ripple has more chance of increasing than siacoin so you cam divide your investment

There are so many opinions.
You have to understand, that deversifying is only solution!
Try to imagine. You have just coin X. It's growing, your investment is growing. It's dumping and so with your investment. And now try to understand your feelings in these two situation. By the way, feelings is most important thing in market. Bad feelings => bad decisions => panic buy/sell => loosing.
To make your investment more stable and safe you have to diversify it between some cryptos. What cryptos to choose is the question of how risky your strategy is.

Considering this, I want to recommend some coins, but you always have to do your own research before you in. And you have to use tech analysis to find the entry point. My coins: NEM(XEM), ETH, ETC, Civic, Waves, NEO, Verge, Equitrader. ICOs wich I'll participate: ENIGMA, COMSA, may be KIN.

I think dogecoin is more stable than any other cryptocurrency, and Ethereum is currently the second most popular cryptocurrency after bitcoin, but right now I see ethereum being very widely used let alone many token ethereum based projects

I recommend Signatum ,Its value has declined a lot in the past few days and is now steadily on the rise and also its gonna go POS in around 30 days and if it hits any major/good exchange theres gonna be a big pump ,Its really risky cause the price may fall also but the risk will be worth it if the price doubles/triples as it has a lot of hidden potential , I am holding 10k sigt already and mining more Smiley

Komodo is the best cryptocurrency right now. it took only 1 year for komodo to get to the top 30 cryptocurrency on the market and therefore, I believe that komodo will continue to increase its value and prove to the people that its system can be greater than bitcoin

It completely depends on what you are looking for. Investing in the largest coins is the safest option, but you will not gain that much of a profit. If you are looking for the new altcoins that are going to hopefully become as big as Bitcoin, then you are best looking into ICO's. $1000 dollars can buy you a decent amount of coins in an ICO, and if they increase in value, you will own a larger amount. It is the riskier tactic, but the rewards are far greater.

These are the qualities i look for before investing into an ICO:-

- Strong team - Both in development team and also the CEO's / marketing (People focus too much on the developers which is important but not everything. no point having a great team to create something, if nobody can advertise it and push the startup in the right direction.)
- Realistic vision - not aiming too high or if they do not reach their target everyone who invested will be disappointed
- Solid whitepaper - Well thought out, shows realistic goals, a strong good vision and a plan of action
- Strong social media presence - A social media that shows they are connected with everyone
- Good customer support - Shows they care, and they have invested time and money into making sure the average investor can ask questions
- Good website - A business who is willing to throw time and effort into a good website are less likely to be a scam
- finite supply - ICO's with no cap can be dangerous and can simply just damage their own coin by releasing more for more investment.
-Market they are getting involved with - Is this a new market? or a dying one? who controls the market?

Finally
- Good concept and catchy name - A good ethos and a name that makes them stand out. Personally i would avoid anything that is something "coin".

Personally i am looking at Crowdholding as it matches all the criteria i listed above and i am interested in their concept of co-creation. Also they are in their pre-sale so you can get a lot more tokens for you money, compared to ICO's.

https://ico.crowdholding.com/

Hope this helps you and happy investing!
