Hello!

I am running cgminer on windows, however, when i run cgminer, it says that no GPUs are available, and that no devices are detected.

I want to run cgminer off of only my CPU at the moment to test BitCoin Mining (I do not pay for electricity nor do I use this computer so it is a tiny bit profitable for me).

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Hi, What graphics card do you have in the computer? I don't know how much you know about mining but if you want to start out easy use GUIMiner
download here:
http://guiminer.org/

Easiest way to start is to use Bitminter and use their pool and mining software instead of guiminer http://bitminter.com/

With GUIMiner:
1.Join a mining pool

2. Get the pool connection info

3. Type it into GUIMiner

4. Set parameters

5.  Start Mining!

Mining on the CPU you will hardly get anything at all even with free electricity, it would take probably one hundred years very conservatively to get some coins if you are even lucky enough, with the ASICS on the way even using a modern GPU will be much more difficult to be profitable than right now.
