Hello guys and girls.
So yesterday my fiance told me to explain to her how does mining work. After I told her everything i know, she said thats amazing, lets build our small rig. Yeah, I was shocked haha

Anyway, I was thinking of building a small rig of 3-6 GPUs and focus on mining on Nicehash.
So please tell me if i did my math correctly.
I have 290x, 980ti and i wanted to buy 3 gtx 1060 6gb, maybe 2 more in the future if this turns out good.
So i was on nicehash calculator to find out is it profitable and it turns out that:
Each 1060 earns 1.33 euros daily, thats 4 euros
290x around 1.5 daily
And 980ti around 1.7

Thats somewhere around 7 euros per day, which is completely fine with me.
Thats a bit more than 2000euros yearly.
Electricity is not a problem because its very cheap here.

You might say 2000 euros yearly is nothing but here its alot of money haha. And yeah, Im not expecting insane amounts of money, Im cool with this. Xd
Now tell me what do you think about this.
And also, did i do my maths right ?  Grin

Thank you very much in advance.

Currently ROI on most cards is 9-12 months so I guess your calculations are close enough.

You would find much better and pertinent information in the ALT-COIN Mining threads. This is the BITCOIN mining thread for Bitcoin discussion only.

It doesn't seem like anyone reads the pinned instructions/rules at the top of each section anymore.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

Yes, I know. It's especially irksome when the offending post is DIRECTLY under the sticky in question. Perhaps the font and color need to be much larger and brighter in color to make it stand out more. Is there such thing as a "flashing" font here on BTC Talk?  Wink

Maybe when I'm bored or have some free time at work, I'll try to come up with a more "noticeable" post subject line. Perhaps if it's good enough, a moderator will take a look and may consider using it to "inform" new users of correct post placement.

It can become very annoying when there is post after post asking/saying basically the same thing repeatedly.   Cool Roll Eyes

I won't even get into newbie post saying "Tell me everything I need to mine and how much will I make in 10 years."
After seeing these posts repeatedly, I really want to scream! LOL Roll Eyes

Sorry for going off topic with my little rant. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

good tip, don't use nice hash since youll have a rig that's between 3 and 6 gpus, youll get paid more per gpu if you pool mine and not nicehash's pools either

Now it's not so correct to calculate profit in euro because the period of high volatility has begun. In you case I would choose GTX1080Ti: less space required then 3 GTX1060

Not the 1080TI, rather 1070.
