Not time for work and/or school. Actually, I tend to forget doing my hobbies such as Playing basketball, hiking, creating music and etc. due to gambling. When I was still in college, I was so active in such activities up until our last days in school. Upon experiencing a win on my first visit in a casino, I became more thrilled and excited about gambling than in my hobbies. Though I tried to regain my stand over my addiction to Gambling by engaging again to my hobbies, but it was hard since every time I play ball or hike or listen to music, Gambling is always entering in my head.
What is happening with you is that you are killing your passion within yourself and replacing it with something which will not help you anyhow which is gambling. While the sport that you actually like will have may advantages like being healthy, enjoying nature, with hiking and playing basketball it will act as an exercise as well etc. Get this back and you will add more joy to your life. |

I also have a highschool friends that turned to be a gamble addict, they are playing moba games in an internet cafe with stakes off course and there is a day when they encourage me to bet with their team and luckily we won. The only problem with gambling is the emotions of the gamblers that making them into a state of having an intimate desire to win or to play for a longer time, I agree with you about time management, it will really help a lot.
I remember those days that my highschool friends are pushing me to play with them after class with a gambling game that they just invented. I can't understand how it goes but I still remember that I used to lose time from a class just because of them. But right now that I've grown up and knows what to prioritize never starts to do something crazy just for the sake of gambling. Yes I experienced being late at work due to gambling in playing dota. In playing games, I sometimes forgot the time and late to realize that I'm already late to work and the worst thing is I do file a leave of absence. So now I learn to manage my time and control myself. i think that's negligence when you know that you have a work but stil. You come to play dota when we all know that game needs more than half hour to finish a single game sometimes more than an hour,but atleast you come to realize playing games has nothing to help ua for living instead just a time spender |

I am often late from work due to gambling. Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling?
For me, I have not been in a situation that I have been losing time from work or school due to gambling that's because I really don't gamble that much and I only gamble in real casinos and most of the time I only gamble in my free time or if there is an event that our family goes to casino to eat and then play just for fun and relaxation. I really do now know anyone who gambles like that but I do know someone who was addicted to gambling before but she actually banned herself from the casino so that she will not get addicted again. I know there are some cases that people do actually lose time from gambling and that is when they are really addicted and can't stop from gambling. |

For me, I have not been in a situation that I have been losing time from work or school due to gambling that's because I really don't gamble that much and I only gamble in real casinos and most of the time I only gamble in my free time or if there is an event that our family goes to casino to eat and then play just for fun and relaxation. I really do now know anyone who gambles like that but I do know someone who was addicted to gambling before but she actually banned herself from the casino so that she will not get addicted again. I know there are some cases that people do actually lose time from gambling and that is when they are really addicted and can't stop from gambling. Good for you, but in my opinion, those "events" could still affect you. You may have something to do on that time but just because there is a gambling even that is going to happen(whatever it is). Who knows, that might be more important but since it is an "event" you can't refuse. If we don't want gambling to eat most of our time, we should not entertain it in the first place. Gambling is so time consuming, not that it is difficult but it is because it is like killing your time that you almost forgot what time it is. |

Honestly I have never been late from work or school ever even if its due to gambling or not because before I only gamble after work, and that is every after work then I got to a point of realization that it was not healthy for me because I sometimes forget to eat or even drink water and would gamble almost the whole night and didn't get much sleep. Though I was never late, my work became sloppy and I become irritated.
You must be lucky to have such realization by yourself with the experience that you had due to gambling. I am also into gambling, but not to the point of addiction since I have someone who always reminds me to have that limitation on it. I don't consider gambling as a bad habit as long as nothing in what you do will be jeopardized from it and I am hoping that mote people come to have that eye opening like yours especially those who'd like to quite work or even school because of addiction on it. |

My work lets me to mix work and gambling from time to time. I work at night every three days and I am kinda alone for 12 h in my little office, so I just bring my laptop every time and simply go on online gambling site and that's how I spend the biggest part of my night shift  This is what technology brings to us, convenience. We can gamble anywhere even at work, personally I don't set time for this if I just have free time then I will gamble, we are living in a world of greed people so better to be more safe I mean stop gambling if you thing it ruin your time with your work or even your love ones. |

Doing such things either school or work while gambling while loss fucos and may have a bad result and possible ruin everythin. It seems here that you've been exposed to real gambling at quite am early age and probably youngsters are more prone to addiction due to their curiosity. I do not often do gambling but when i do i always get late for my evening classes and also for gym . That is why now i have started doing gambling at a different time so that i don't compromise with my studies. |

Just like in any other addiction, it requires time to do the gambling action. As your addiction grows, so is the time that you spend gambling. One of the things about addiction is that it creeps up to your daily life. We have that secret life where we do all the bad things and forget all about it once we get to school or once we get to work. Once we're at those places, we simply put our mind into "work mode". You will know that your addiction has grown so much if you're running late to work. Once or twice is okay but if it's happening consistently, then you might want to get checked up by a specialist. Unfortunately, it's not really an option for most people since there are places where there aren't specialist about gambling addiction or any other mental illness.
Yes, I just called your addiction a mental illness. Why? Because it is.
I've lost time for work or school because of another type of addiction, but not gambling. I don't gamble anymore but I do remember gambling a lot in the summer. There wasn't school at that time so it didn't really affect school but it did affect my daily life. I'm late for the day. I wake up really late and of course I'd be able to start the day really late.
