I am often late from work due to gambling. Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling?   

Its an early sign of addiction maybe? If you know you have something very important to do and just set it aside to gamble is clearly an early sign of an addiction. Just don't let it take your job away, gambling for profit is good but don't let it take away the main source of your income.

Honestly I have never been late from work or school ever even if its due to gambling or not because before I only gamble after work, and that is every after work then I got to a point of realization that it was not healthy for me because I sometimes forget to eat or even drink water and would gamble almost the whole night and didn't get much sleep. Though I was never late, my work became sloppy and I become irritated.

I did lose a lot of time because of gambling and when I'm not still in bitcoin gambling I used to gamble with my friends. We are playing poker before classes but of course in a private place where no one will notice us with our school uniforms since it is prohibited to gamble while in uniform. And many times we became late for our classes and subjects and I just noticed by that time we are all addicted gamblers. But that took for a couple of months and we are counselled by the school guidance counselor and luckily everything went back to normal.

No, I'm not wasting time because of gambling. It seems to me that this is already a sign of dependence when a person can not stop and begins to lose precious time trying to win a large sum.

No, I think i have managed well my time between gambling and work. I only gamble when i'm going home with my mobile. If you want to avoid that you must do a time management because it might result in addiction if you don't prevent yourself from too much gambling. Time management is the key only gamble when you have free time. Don't let gambling take over your life and your time.

what a heck mate i guess you needed to have a good guidance with your family or friend its already an indications of such a bad habits, like the previous replied assuming that you are getting some good profits but it will start of ruining your life better to understand the possible outcome mate.

Yes I did it when I was on college, I played online tournament poker till 3am and it made me woke up too late for an exam. Unluckily I got the chance to do  the exam on other day and another lucky thing was that I won 2nd place on the tournament with a decent prize. :)

I never did such things so far. I only gamble when I got some free time. If one is doing like what OP mentioned in his thread means more or less addicted to the games and need special attention to come out of these addiction habits. I also know some people spend whole night playing the games and come office with a very tired face.

i believe those people who have addiction problem frequently doing that.

fortunately not with the new me , i was an addict few years ago where my weekends time that supposed to spent with my family all gone to gambling , i have got sacked from work because of too much skip , my life almost always about gambling that time.

but now i am ready to change (i did it already by the way), as i am aware that my gambling habit too far away from normal.

Hmm, for me personally have experienced things like you face, I was late and did not even go to school just to satisfy the lust that I do in gambling. Indeed at first I get what I want, but after the big win the more days I get a lot of losses and even the amount of loss I get is much higher than the victory I get. So I started thinking of leaving gambling and finally with a strong determination now I can get away from gambling.

I also gamble on my phone and so I am always on time to work. I have rather been late from getting home earlier because of gambling with friends in a bet house.

Well that's a sign of gambling addiction i think you should stop gambling if that continues that could ruin you life or if can't helped to gamble just gamble a little moderation. i usually gamble when i got home after work i treat gambling as my stress reliever after work but gambling even you late in your work is a sign of addiction

Absolutely not, and you should reconsider the amount of time you are giving to gambling. I'm afraid to say this, but those could be some signs of gambling addiction. I mean if you were on the transition from being a semi-pro gambler, that could be ok. That also happens with guys that are becoming pro-athletes. They often need home schooling etc, because they activities is very time consuming if they want to take it to the next level. If that is not your case, and gambling should be just an hobby, then it should never affect your job, since that needs to be one of your priorities.

Fortunately you had the chance to do your exam at the other day. And the best part is due to the fact that you were the second winner and got good amount of money. What a complete luck! I myself very rare to use my school time for gambling because I had limited allowance at that time.

Well i think exams really in college could be re eschuduled as long you have a valid reason. I discovered btc after i graduated so it really did not affect me in school and i have wifi for my phone when i am working so i am kind of doing two jobs at the same time with out any hassle. That was back then but now im tired of my job so i guess this is better than really having my job.

For me, I lose my interest in studying (When I was still in college). When I started gambling, I'm actually a student and I never thought that I would be addicted to gambling since I do hate gambling. But, when I first engage myself in this industry and win my first prize. I tend to lose interest in going to school and to study. Whenever I go to class my mind is still thinking about poker, I can't focus. I tend to think of strategy on how to win in a poker game instead of instead of reviewing for my examinations.

Those were the days that I wish that I could take it back. But, I can't undo what I've done hence I learn from it and I make it as my stepping stone for a brighter future.

Back in my high school, I used to gamble a lot that I was always skipping classes. Gambling is fun if you ask me, especially when you win. I lost much time and my grades fell. So, I needed to stop gambling and focus on my studies. I advise you not to lose time gambling and be late for work because later on, your boss or manager will get tired of you coming late to work. I suggest managing your time. For example, why not gamble at weekends or late nights.

I ever lost the track of time when I gambled and I am late for my work, and so I rushed to my work and gave explanation to my boss that I had a flat tyre and I was being scolded for being late, and after that incident I never gamble in the morning anymore

Not really, back in the day we only gamble once our class is over then head over to a internet cafe then play dota with stakes involve in every match it's like a pvp gambling but you need to have some skills too if you don't you'll lose.

I didnt experience such thing since i didnt even tried out to compromise my work just for gambling.I do have a proper time on playing gambling this is why i didnt experience such problem like of yours.You should really able to set aside on playing gambling when it comes to your work.Its much more important than gambling since you are getting money on your living on your work and dont compromise it for just a temporary entertainment.

To be honest, I never really tried gambling like going to casinos or betting my money into websites and relying on the risks but I know some of my friends experience conflict due to their addiction. On your case, that might be an early sign of addiction to gambling and you need to know your priorities well to avoid any further harm to yourself and to your relatives/family. Try your best to maintain your composure to prevent getting dragged into the gambling world because at the end of the day, you will inevitably lose and exhaust most of your money if you do not control your addiction.

I'm losing time to focus on my job projects due to gambling. it always happened to me. I like playing gambling even in work in order to make money more faster than waiting for my monthly salary. my salary on my job is more less than my profit on gambling even tho im losing sometimes i have more higher chance when it comes on winning.

Gambling is good entertainer but it doesn't men that you will take  all your time there it is already bad. All excess is bad. If you abuse it, it is very bad. You can play gambling but always take some time for your work and school especially to your family those are very important. Remember that even you have everything (money matters) without being connected to your family, without your time to them it is all useless. Your effort on gambling become useless because all your important things to do will be ruin because of gambling.

You are absolutely right gambling is a just entertainment part in our life. To get fun, we don't lose our loved once and our precious time. The time is very important in early age because in this age we want to learn many new things to lead our future life. If you waste your time for just to get entertainment then after words, you will suffer a lot. First, give preference to your family and your education if you left any free time you can use it for to play gambling.

Are you gambling after work(school) and coming late to home from work(I did that few times very long time ago) or are you coming late on the work because you gamble(i never did that)?

It never happened to me and I will not allow myself to do things like that if a person is experiencing these things then maybe that person is already addicted to gambling because he can set aside his work or school for the sake of gambling.

I actually gamble often at work.
And I do admit it consumes at least a few more minutes I could have given to the work.
Social sites are blocked at my office network but gambling ones are not.

I've never do that, gambling until losing time for work. Because, i am work as generator engine supervisor. So, there is no chance to do, even at lunch. I am gambling while on holiday and just for few minutes.

fortunately i didn't ever do that however for those who always gamble and more likely to choose gamble rather than go to works or go to school i think they're pretty near being an addicted so you have to carefully with this behavious because it's can ruin your life eventually 

I did it during high school, while playing domino online games, and I had a big defeat.
I played gambling from 8 pm to 4 am and it made me wake up late.
When i got to school,i was punished by the teacher for being late to school.
That's my experience, already lost in gambling plus getting punishment also from school.

No, never tried it and wouldn't do it either. Work is important to me and would not skip it just to gamble. I'll play after work and during weekends only. If you have this mentality then you are really addicted to gambling. What would happen to you if you skip and just gamble? You might lose you work because of this. Not advisable.

Gambling is never been my priority so definitely I never lose time for work or school due to gambling.  I had it set where I am free.  Since for me gambling is a stress remover, so definitely playing it while working is a no for me.  It will only add to the pile of stress I am getting with my work and if ever my senior caught me I will be in not so good situation.   So playing it and enjoying it is best at free time.  So that is what i do.

very honestly in very beginning when i was very new in gambling i will continue playing gambling without any time frame or limit. but and that is the reason that for most of the time i would lost time, but after that when i get some experience then i start playing gambling in a limit and now i can play gambling without losing my time.

But still the desire to win in gambling could beat everything include your work time.
And that time i think you are considered as an addict and have a serious problem in gambling.

It's true, some crazy people may do this, but I think it doesn't make any sense... Work/Studies are very important and necessary for your future life, gambling is just good on the moment, it's an immediately pleasure that won't give you any benefit on the future (only a little chance of happen, if you are very lucky, but won't happen for most people anyway). Gambling is a hobby and we practice our hobbies on our vacant hours only.

I think it's your fault because you can't manage your own time beside , gambling is an adult activity and you're not recommend to do it before you're ready.

I don't like whose name is (late), work and play gambling I have set in such a way. I just forgot to bathe and eat, if I was playing my emotional gambling controlled by the gambling table, I also do not know can be like that.

No I did not ever lose time for work and especially in my school just because of gambling. Most importantly I will never ever lose my time in anything just because of gambling. My mind is set on that thing because I know my priority. If I dont follow my mind my life will be worst. I also do not focus on gambling it is justy past time and it is not important for me. I can have all my time only in gambling if I know that I have done all my work or else I can't do gambling. I may become addict if I am too much attached to gambling so as early as now, I am avoiding so I cant be late or lose time in anything important.

If the person is greedy to make money and try to overcome the bitcoin lose means they try continuously to make money in gambling to get money instantly. These kind of thought should negotiate and get into better platform to win in gambling. Don't involve in gambling at all else you loose everything.

Do you start gambling in a early morning? That's why you will be late from your work or school. Otherwise, gambling is not a reason to late us. Because i play gambling at night, and in the middle of the day. When i have free and extra time, then i start to play gambling. I suggest you, you should maintain your time and follow it, because your schooling and your work is also important for your future, and play gambling in your enjoyment time. 

Nope, I think its kind of alarming if you spend more time gambling than going to work or school, i can say that it will lead you to gambling addiction. Before its to late you have to manage your time properly and set your priorities. Whats more important is your job/school than gambling. Just saying.

I sure it's possibly the sign of addiction. OP should realize that and then start to reduce gamble.
Gambling for profit is just a temporary, it's just can achieved for a sometimes, not all time and not constant.

honestly I do gambling but never late from my work. i usually bet on weekends.  you should focus on your job. gambling is not the permanent job and it won't help you for a long time.

after reading comments most of the people said it's a sign of addiction and I even not know that I am addicted to gambling.I must need to schedule my time.

I have different timeframe when I do plan to play gambling and also I do play once a week or depending on my mood if I do like to play on that time.Usually I do play after my work and I don't play it early in the morning.If you are often late to work because of gambling then better to change your habit because the risk of getting fired from your job would really be there.You boss will surely decide such thing if you do continue to behave on that way.

So far I didn't lose my time for my priorities because of gambling. I'm not good at time management and I'm not too good in gambling either but when it comes to priorities I'm setting my goals and putting what are the most important thing that I need to do.

The question also confused me a little at first as I thought how can be someone late FROM work due to gambling but now I have figured out if someone is gambling late night, he might not get on time in office. Anyways, I have never ever gambled more than my time allows me.

It seems that you are a wise gambler. You have managed a specific time to gamble and do not waste your sleeps over these pity things .gambling is just a fun time thing and must not be intermingled with your day to day routine. If someone is really having craze about it, then he must find some way to continue with it without affecting his school or work.

I had done this a long time ago during high school where myself and some friends will even sneak out of the school to go and engage in gambling activities and most times when we win, we are being threatened by the older guys to report to school authority thereby deny us of our winnings but in all it was an experience I won't forget in a hurry. But ever since, I have not waste any other thing because I only play in my free time and up till this time.

Ive been into gambling but my school is my priority in life. If someone prefer do gambling than loses time to school it is a sign of gambling addiction. It is a matter of self control and decision making in life.

actually i only playing gambling in my free time and i am not late from work because i am work from home. i think you need to learn to manage your time between work and playing gambling so you don't need to be late for work. its not good to be late for work because it will disturb your time to work. its better if you playing gambling in your free time.

Yes, i did , i lose time on doing work on my workplace just to play a gambling game and i really deeply regret it and i lost a small yet hard earned bitcoins that time, that's why i already learned my lesson and will always look back to that time when i was addicted on gambling that serves a reminder for me too that i should be careful on what i am doing.

Yes i experienced that twice am late on my work because of gambling. But in real life am so late because i enjoyed playing I did not notice that am 1 hour late to my work. I thought its not happen again but in a another day am late again. So i decided to stop gamble.

Gambling is my job so I never miss work because I am gambling; however, if gambling is effecting your life negatively, then it may be time to reassess your decision making tendencies-->To be successful at anything in life, including gambling, one has to set clear priorities and stick to them stubbornly. I learned that the hard way ---> over and over again ---> it takes discipline to listen to the angel on one shoulder while ignoring the demon on the other!  We know better --->we just have to listen to the rational side of ourselves instead of giving in to our temptations.

Hah. Good question. And to answer you Yes, I have done it multiples times when I was still a office boy. LOL. Me and my 3 buddies, would go out for some time, then go cock fighting near in our office. I was never really into it, but once I experience how to bet, I quickly fell in love with it and we will go out routinely from work to bet, and back at work after a few hours. That was long time ago. Also in my last job, I would call my wife to pick me up early and then we will go gamble to a casino. Sometimes I have to call in sick and not report to work because I just lost and I'm so frustrated and disappointed. That's how I was during the height of my gambling addiction. Me and my buddies would just laugh it out everytime we see each other and talking about it. Funny times indeed. ;D

When I was at university I lost, but now, when I work, I'm never late because of gambling. You need to distribute your time more attentively.

Sometimes i find my self unwillingly opening the websites i gamble in and looking for today's sport games and the odds that seems good for me , and all of this happens when i'm at the university or my part time job .. i spend hours until my class/shift ends without realising that i didn't do my tasks ..

Sometime it is happen when we play continuously and feel excitement then we forget the time, and spend a lot of time in gambling. But as he said in this thread, that he is late his work and school due to gambling, then i think he has addiction of gambling, because work is more important than gambling. So better to do work for earn money and secondly start to play gambling. Try to manage our time, then sure gambling never disturb us.

Yes.. when I was in college. me and my classmates always spent our time in billiard halls and we do our gambling session. We are allowed to gamble since we don't have a school uniform back then. We always skipped some of our late class just to gamble it was fun for experience but we stopped it because we failed our class because of our attendance.

For me, no. If you are someone that is losing time for anything because of gambling, then that means you have a serious problem and you should consider getting help. Normally I lose time for work and school and family because of one another. Nothing else really. I think if you preoccupy yourself in other things, you can avoid gambling all through out.

When gambling ruins our priorities,we should think if it's worthy. Playing gambling requires self control. It's not bad to play gambling but it's bad if we forgot our obligations. If we want to continue gambling we should know how to manage it without affecting our living.

I never had any of them both or any personal business that I've lose time because of gambling. I won't prioritize gambling over anything. Also I can't concentrate in playing if there's something i'm thinking. That's why I only do gambling whenever it's my freetime so I only gamble at night when i'm on my bed.

I don't think that most people lose time on work and other stuffs for gambling rather most of them lost track of time where to enjoy too much on gambling and made them late for their work or stuffs. But still I don't recommend people to do gambling since it triggers addiction to it where they end up losing what they've earned.

I lose a lot of time in school because of gambling, we knows that gambling is so very addicted any thing we can do in gambling purpose. In gambling you forgoten your obligation why? Because gambling is very fan games and addicted and beside that if you are smart in gambling they have possibility that it is your source of your income. I lose a lot of time in school because iam addicted in gambling but now i can manage evert thing.

I never have lost time for anything due to gambling. I would say that it is not a good thing to be caught up in such an addiction or bad habit. Gambling is indeed fun and entertaining, but it is not something I will let control of my time or especially my life. Just play wisely and responsibly and everything will absolutely be fine.

I never lost time from work or school due to gambling, but I must confess that it is very addictive and sometimes most of my spare time I spent gambling. But now I have more control and try to balance time and also spend time with friends and family and doing outdoor activities. 

Yeaaa actually gambling is a way to having fun only for a while.
But sometimes it could be above everything when you are on fire to gamble and doing non sense things.
That's how an addiction strated works in your daily life , step by step coukd really destroy your life.

There was one time that I played poker after work, I went out from work at 11 pm and played until the morning. I only won $200 from that and I was able to sleep at 7 am. I forgot to say that we were drinking while playing poker so the next day I wasn't able to go to work. I was suspended for a week because of that.

I won't give it a name of addiction until or unless I come to know whether OP or anyone is unable to give up gambling but this is definitely an alarming situation. If someone continues this routine, I am afraid he would be an addict before he could even realize.

I didn't get late from my job because of gambling but most of the time I regret wasting my precious time doing nothing. However, I have skipped my lunch and dinners at times but now I gamble very less as I used to once.

200$ is a good amount, But it will not cover the possible salary that you missed for a week suspension. hahaha. Anyway, Gambling during midnight especially when you are enjoying is very addictive, You will never notice the time you consume on gambling that's why I always avoiding to gamble during midnight and just sleep instead. Work is my top priority because it was a sure and fixed income.

i don't lose my time at school because i gamble , and i don't think that you could lose too . but the thing that i'm certainly sure is the wasting of your focusing on the thing that you do , for exemple you will be thinking all the time about the gambling and you feel empty without gambling 

Unfortunately I have to give the affirmative answer to this question. Like you I also sometimes late from work because of gambling. And sometimes I even gamble during my work which is risky because you can get fired for doing things like that in working hours. I finished school long time ago, but actually I think I have to learn a lot of stuff still, so in a way gambling is distracting me from learning useful things too. I plan to limit the time I spend on gambling to 1 hour per day, otherwise I think it's unhealthy.

just glad to hear that , as once you do crossed the limit like ignore everything that actually pretty important . late come to work or even skip the work day, that is terrible , you have a very high level of addiction , and need to be solved asap otherwise your whole life could be ruined.

No, I always do it in my free time. It also doesn't take me much time. Usually 30 min and I'm either out because I've won enough or i'm out because iI lost it all. :D

I haven't because even when I'm gambling, I make sure that I set my priorities first. I occasionally gamble just for fun and to socialize. So, gambling with moderation is not a problem with me. I know when to play and when to stop. It's hard to lose money you've earned through hard work. Discipline is the key to avoid losing money.

Nope. I never did experience that I lose time from work or school due to gambling because honestly, I don't play gambling. Being late in coming to school or work just because of gamble is not good because people will always think when you arrive late again that you also came from gamble club. So, it might put your reputation at risk in your workplace or in school.

You shouldn't give more priority in gambling because your work is very important and it provide you money for living. What if you lose your job because of your vices? Where can you get sources of money for living, like that you are using for your fun gamblings. Think it so deeply and don't just let the advises passed through your ears, be responsible and make a stand as mature person. There's no future in gambling, but rather work can give you sustainable and profitable future,  so have a focus on work and less with gambling.

I'm sure no one would be addicted to gambling if everyone did what you did. Limit time to gamble, and discipline do it any results obtained. If we are lucky we will benefit, and if we are not lucky we are losses.

Well, i'm addicted to gambling and i also often late when go to the university. I also even can't continue my college 1 year because of gambling. Gambling is really give a bad affect into my life. Thank god, gambling never affect my work because i always serious when it comes into work.

If you are late from your any work and school then you should not play gambling in this time when your school open.
And if you are playing gambling during your work then left to play gambling and complete your work firstly.

Only prefer your school and your work then free time play gambling. It will be good for you and also your life will be comfort.

During the time that I was still busy with gambling, it didn't affect any of my real life activities. I only gamble after school and after work, I don't do it during busy day. Besides, I am not an addicted gambler.

In my opinion you will only lose time because of gambling when you are addicted to it or you really don't have a job or you don't go to school, or it is really your goal the whole day when you wake up.

Oh good thing you'd be able to stop your gambling addiction. I have a friend that continue being like that and he still not yet learned his lesson even he almost lose his family and he's totally fucked up. He can't work for a living and still rely on his parent's money. This really pissed me off like he can't get a life for god's sake.

I loss so much time from work because I love to gambler all the time, that was when I was new in gambling and I bet in sports betting both live and none live. I feel like the thrill is always in me when I constantly check the price and I didn't notice I loss concentration with my job anymore.

Never. I'm not working, but i can never miss my studies due to gambling as it is not my first priority after all. The ones who leave their work or studies for gambling are the ones who are totally addicted by gambling, and thank god i'm not one of them.

Maybe i am addicted to online gambling, although i am often late Working but i really like gambling online, while gambling has made me lose a lot of time and lose a little money.

Sometimes I bet from my work place if there is an upcoming game that I need to bet on.
It doesn't necessary mean that I do it on working times, I just do it for few minutes, because I won't have time to place the bet on the game once I return home.

I think that if you are betting and watching the games(because you had a bet going on the sports game) on time you consider important, you should stop gambling as gambling should not waste important time from you life.

Glad to hear that and this thing should really be done and you are right for those people who do such thing are those people who are addicted to gambling.Important things shouldnt really be compromised because of it.If you are not an addicted gambler you will surely think the same.This is just really good for entertainment and not be included on main important thing in our lives.

I appreciate the honesty you people have shown in this matter. This is the reason why I condemn gambling because it is not a useful act. It not only wastes our time but also takes extra time that was supposed to be spending in doing a meaningful work. Indeed, gambling is destructive.

You should try best to avoid gambling as much s you can. Are you crazy? You are putting your job and career on risk just because of this disease called gambling. Just stop this nonsense or consult some doctor in order to divert mind when you have strong urge for gambling.

When I was in school we skipped some days cause of gambling. Couple of us friends were good at sports betting, or we just had luck. What ever we had good days and we skip days at school to go and play some machines, in that time video poker was very popular. That was in high school, now I'm much better I never skipped work to gamble, but when I have free time on work I gamble on my phone. That is one advantage of modern world we have everything on our mobile phones, I don't need to skip anything.

Nope, I would never compromise my source of income because of leisure or gambling. It is bad habit to be late and very unprofessional especially without a valid reason. Gambling should just be done to relieve stress or for entertainment but should not get in the way with your responsibilities.

So far I never lose time for work because of gambling but I had to admit way back in school days, college days specifically I'm losing a lot of time with my subjects. This happened to me very often and even in the present. I usually place bets, make profit and walk away happily while the profits still last in my pocket. Sometimes greed gets the better of me and I place more bets from the former profit derived and lose them. I don't think the problem with addiction is the amount of time spent in gambling. It is more of the amount of money spent in it. If you gamble the whole day, there is no problem if you are not sacrificing anything else for that time. Well depends on the person, if he or she works at morning I think no one is going to gamble right away when they wake up, that just doesn't make sense. I was never late for school or work because of gambling. I always set my priorities first before anything else. Gambling is just my past time, and I do it to relieve stress and to have fun. I enjoy working and having time for my self after work. So, I don't want to be late or to be absent just because of gambling.

Well good to hear that your school or work is not compromise because of gambling. But for most of us here, one time or another, we have skipped school or work because of gambling. But as we mature enough, down the road, priorities in life has been set like family and work. Lately i found myself going very late to bed every night just from seeing what's next in football games (Champions league/ Europa league ) , seeing who'll face who , analyzing the ups and downs of each team and looking for good odds to bet on and maybe recover my losses . Therefore i found myself running late everyday to work or to university and having to do extra shifts/hours . Managing your time is a must if you have a busy schedule and that's what i intend to do from now on .

Yeah in life, there must be a balance between hobbies and professional/study life. I mean there must be set priority for everything, where as a student first priority should be studies and the next to anything else. It is a bad thing to do because as a student your priority should be given to your studies and in the free time, you can do these things. I didn't, The reason why i didn't ever lose time from my work due to gambling is because i know my priority, I only gamble during my rest day and spare time and if its time to sleep because i have work early i stop gambling so i won't get any problem in my work. I did lost time from work several times and once I realized what I did, I started thinking that I am maybe addicted and that's maybe the time I should be stopping gambling at all.

Very wise my friend! Gambling is a useless act. It does not really return anything beneficial. Above that, it wastes our precious time also. Time is money and we must spend that time in some more useful and productive task. I don't condemn gamblers but they must have limits for their own safety.

Lol!! I can still remember when i was in high school. Some of my boy classmates often come late to classes sometimes cutting classes too. When the teacher search for the cause she found out that they were in a gambling place. Betting in a live horse racing competition. All of them were waiting as to which horse was going to win in front of a television and watching very carefully if it will be their bet.   

I was a big gambler in the near past but i never got to that point where i favorite gambling on school or work. I learned how to control my self because i did not want to be addicted. Becoming addicted is dangerous and have negative effects on our family life and time with friends.

To have much money is the one priorities that iam doing right now. So if iam losing my time for work it's a big chance to become  rich and to have a good life. But due to gambling is your priorities schooling then this is all your fault. Wasting time, losing of money, and have some addiction to need to control your self.

Good thing you were able to manage your time even though you play gamble on your phone because not all people who play gamble can do that. Most of the time, people who play gamble will not be able to do their work well because their mind will be so focused already in gambling.

I thing gambling should be played for fun with friends you meet there have a relaxing time and leave the casinos without much thinking even if you lose . Anyway, I am lucky I have known the possible negative effect of gambling when I was young and it was implanted to my thought by my parents to avoid gambling.  Though I can say I play gambling games once in a while, when I am bored and have free money to spare, I never lose time for work nor for school since I value my responsibility and at least deliver the best thing I can do when I am at work.

I only gamble on weekends where there is a big variety of sports games to be played or whenever there is NBA/Champions League . I already know what teams are going to play against each other before a while and already plan to gamble on which teams . Being organized enough and making a use of my spare time avoids me such problems .

It is really difficult to stay away from something that we crave. Humans have the power among themselves to be anything what they want to be; still it is strange most of them choose to be a stupid. It is because we all are naive, weak and fragile.

Before I was addicted and came up to this thing but I was able to convert my addiction in gambling into addiction to computer games and it's even enjoyable and fun. And the experience of being late in my school by that time is because of I want to finish a single chapter for the games that I'm playing but it's not happening now since I'm employed and more disciplined to my job, it's surprising that I'm not late anymore.

When i was on my college days i think that was the time when I used to cut class on those classes where i am bored. Its not that i am actually lossing my time for school but i am just alotting my time in gambling. My college friends and i used to go to some place where we can play and spent our time. However now that i am working i became more responsible on my time and don't prefer gambling than work. No i never experience to skip on school before and much never skipping work to gamble because i have time for playing gambling and it is only my past time when i got bored also i only limit my self because i do not want to be addicted in this king of method. To me very honestly it as very common for me and was just a routine but when i was very new in gambling, it was about 20 years ago. When I bet normally, I lose more than I win. But with live betting I'm profitable. That's why I wish I had more time for live betting.

People who are addicted to gambling often miss out on important things in life and end up in a bad position and in a bad view of the society. They do not do it intentionally rather they are forced to do so by their addiction. They think gambling will solve all their problems and are thus willing to do everything to gamble with money. Yeah I did experience to late from schoo due to gambling especially on my newbie days. I used to gamble to earn profit however, instead of winning I always lose yet late from my school. Hahaha this just set the time bandwagon, I remember this, when I was in college, I was introduced to gambling, and when college used to end, we used to hit the alleys and we all used to loose track of time and money, it's happened with me on so many occasions, that I have forgotten to do assignments, and yes I recieved lot of scolding from parents, as I never could explain why I got late, those were the days, those memories.

I have never been really that addicted to gambling to go through that thing before in my life. Most people i know due to spending most of the time at casino ended up losing their jobs because they were always late for work.

The main problem here is priority, if you can manage your time about of your priority then welcome you are one of those responsible persons in the whole wide world. Many of us doesn't know what is priority or how to manage their time when they were enjoying too much they tend to forget or leave their priorities. No I did not play at the school timings and also do not play in the working hours of my job. Gambling in my locality is almost at the night time and that is the free time for all the gamblers. The other gambling like buying some lottery tickets does not need any time. Just buy the ticket and wait for the draw. If you are lucky you will win rather you will lose your money. And the regular gambling between the two parties need the time and we give the night time for such gambling.

The time of school means lower age and in lower age nobody gamble in my country and especially in my locality. I had never lose my time or work due to gambling. I am not addicted of gambling. If I have the time to play some game then I play but if have no time from my work then I even do not think about gambling. There's nothing wrong in gambling, what's wrong is the way we do it in unlikely times. When our top priority gets to be the least priority because gambling take over in some part of our life. i think we don't have to use our school timings or our working hours for gambling because if we do this, then we can not go to school and focus with our activity. there will be much time for us to use our school or our working house to used it for another activity. i think we can spend one hours or more in a day or a week to playing gambling.

Really? it is happening, because i have never seen that type of gamblers, may be i have no experience in real casinos, because only one casino is here in my area. But i know the addiction of gambling, and i can guess how they could waste their precious time in playing of gambling and they don't do their work properly. Yes, it is even addiction when it gets to the level of discarding your work or school for gambling. That I would say is uncalled for. Not saying you cannot gamble, but everything requires sense and limits but if it has gotten to that stage, then such a person truly needs help.

I have had some luck on lotteries before without even putting too much which I believe is one form of gambling that does not require much heartache and blood gush and you can just hope on luck.

I never get late going to work because I can do the betting at my office, however the distraction to our work is there, when we are stress in gambling we cannot focus and that will lead us ineffective with our designated job. Well that is a good thing that you are able to control yourself.  I have seen several people losing their job because of gambling addiction.  Or some students because of billiards since they gamble on who is the better player.  I almost tried to do this but somehow managed to make myself attend the class. 

I haven't yet. But that would be so alarming. Its a symptom of being addict in gambling. It maybe also a time management issue. But usually gambling can take more of your time. Maybe just make time management to not compromise work or school. Otherwise, you have to eliminate one activity.

It's alarming and it's a sign that a person who gambles that way and allows his other priorities to be taken over by gambling is really sick mentally. I already experience that when my school days i skip some of my subject and play gambling but it is offline gambling, i spend more time in that area than in my school and of course mostly i lose my allowance that is why when i am in last year in college i stop to gamble and focus in my study and now i am working and i engage again in gambling but now it is online the difference is i can do it at the same time gambling and work that is why i do not to lose my time from work to play in gambling.

It happened to me a few years ago i was gambling to much and i didnt notice the time that it was already morning and i had to go to work, what i did was texted my boss and i had to excuse myself because im sick but the truth is i just had to go so sleep and rest my body.

It is an addiction , makes you looks like not a normal person , i mean to let things turn messed up even you know already about that.

I am happy for you at least you come to know the bad aspect of gambling. It is more than an addiction that makes you bound until it ruin your life. Gradually your life becoming worse and even worse. So as you have limited your time, why not to quit it? Don’t you think it is not good for your money? It is basically a trap of money, whatever just gamble once, don’t come back.

Lottery tickets is actually one cool way to gamble though! I do not even know whether that can be classified as gambling or not. Most times I just usually get some few tickets from the little amount they give to me from saving the fund in their wallet and I put it up for lottery and that at least I know is something that I can afford to lose and still give me something very cool if I am lucky enough.

I remember those days that my highschool friends are pushing me to play with them after class with a gambling game that they just invented. Same here when my cousin taught me a card game I was really having fun and sometimes forgot to go to school because I want to play all day long. Until such time my parents discover what I've been doing so they forbid me to play card game again and they keep on monitoring me.

I didn't went through to that stage since my parents are busy to their business and other appointments they don't have time to ask me. Though my life being as a kid during those old days are really because of different people I met, friends, relatives, strangers that are teaching me to gamble and forget about those important things in my life during those times.

Honestly, there was a time in my life that I got addicted to gambling. During those times, I thought school doesn't matter anymore since I am already earning money. Same here. But I was playing with my friend's place and stayed in there for a long time. I did not notice what time it was. Then my mom called me telling me it was late. I went back home and remembered that I had an exam tomorrow. I ate dinner and then revised for my exam.

It was an exhausting night. If I knew  I had an exam, I would not have played with my friend. I would just spend the day preparing for the exam. Fortunately, I had a good mark.

Not time for work and/or school. Actually, I tend to forget doing my hobbies such as Playing basketball, hiking, creating music and etc. due to gambling. When I was still in college, I was so active in such activities up until our last days in school. I think it is, lucky you are not pushed down to addiction and you are able to control yourself after that incidents.  Setting gambling as priority over important matter is really a sign of addiction, you can be hook on something but you will never put it above a more important stuff, that is normal.  What is not normal is getting hooked and making it our priority which in result will give us problem in the future.  I have never made gambling as my 1st priority since I use it just to releive myself of stress from daily work and tasks and I make sure of that.

Yes I experienced being late at work due to gambling in playing dota. In playing games, I sometimes forgot the time and late to realize that I'm already late to work and the worst thing is I do file a leave of absence. So now I learn to manage my time and control myself.

That's maturity now i think, I'd use to play alot before but not in terms of money, though there are times that playing dota with money at stake is more fun, and just realized thats there still more to earn if Id focus on something since I'd been late from classes before. What is happening with you is that you are killing your passion within yourself and replacing it with something which will not help you anyhow which is gambling. i think that's negligence when you know that you have a work but stil. You come to play dota when we all know that game needs more than half hour to finish a single game sometimes more than an hour,but atleast you come to realize playing games has nothing to help ua for living instead just a time spender

For me, I have not been in a situation that I have been losing time from work or school due to gambling that's because I really don't gamble that much and I only gamble in real casinos and most of the time I only gamble in my free time or if there is an event that our family goes to casino to eat and then play just for fun and relaxation. I really do now know anyone who gambles like that but I do know someone who was addicted to gambling before but she actually banned herself from the casino so that she will not get addicted again. I know there are some cases that people do actually lose time from gambling and that is when they are really addicted and can't stop from gambling.

Good for you, but in my opinion, those "events" could still affect you. You may have something to do on that time but just because there is a gambling even that is going to happen(whatever it is). Who knows, that might be more important but since it is an "event" you can't refuse.

I found myself so many times trying to figure out what will be the possible results of some games or remembering what went wrong in my previous games so that it made me loose in order to not repeat the same mistake twice , and this makes me distracted for many times during my days which makes me not being able to fully concentrate on what the professors are saying or explaining.

Definitely, most of this situation your time may lose from work or even in school due by gambling. Gambling is very time consuming that even a single game will take one hour and that one hour you didn't feel that it's an hour. Then in the next game you trying to correct your mistakes on the previous game which in the end you will still lose. You can easily count the number of times you win but in losing I don't think if you could count the number of times you lose because in losing have a huge percentage unlike when you are lucky enough to win every game.

I do not often do gambling but when i do i always get late for my evening classes and also for gym . That is why now i have started doing gambling at a different time so that i don't compromise with my studies.

I've lost time for work or school because of another type of addiction, but not gambling. I don't gamble anymore but I do remember gambling a lot in the summer. I actually did last year during my second year in university i used to gather some students who also liked to gamble and we would spend almost all day playing poker illegally. It was fun until we realized that the money we gathered wouldn't make us successed this year and it was kinda too late to start studying, i did anyway and i got lucky in the end.

It's all about priority. Basically, what you give time on is what you value more so if you value gambling; it is most likely that the other aspects in your life are compromised and affected accordingly. As a graduating student, the only thing that runs into my mind is to get to that finish line which is why I don't have as much time to give to entertain myself. I think what you are doing is more of a betting type of game as it takes lesser time. It is pretty good that the management of the company you are working with allows you to bet with your fellow co-workers. That time of betting of course can take place anywhere between your short and long breaks or even in-between your free time. While it is possible for you to bet I don't think that going to a physical casino to gamble is a good idea as an 8-hour work day will always take up more than half your day if you added the 1 hour break and your commute going to your office and back to work.

Gambling affected our daily life if were become addict because sometimes thru playing of gambling we forget our responsibility. I do agree on some points which there are really gambling games that can really give chances for us to make money specially on card games and i have seen some people did able to manage to go for long term and making it as a living which is impressive and saying gambling is job then its not on general speaking since this thing is just really being created for the sake of entertainment but there are people who do really treat it as a job since they do able to make money used to live.

You could only help yourself on what you did, if you don't want it to happen again, then don't do ever play gambling again. And yes, I did lose time for work and school because of gambling and I think everyone does. Gambling takes some of your time and any distraction is going to make you lose time for work/school.

If gambling is done for the purpose of entertainment then we should not worry of losing because we spend less but we get the entertainment we are looking. This is a very unique way of having fun because you need to spend in order to play, but we should always remember that we will have to focus on our priority in life especially our job as that generates money for us, the moment we lose control we should sacrifice gambling and leave it for good.

Work is my priority and the mean to earn hard money with which I can cover the expenses of my living and the living of my family. Gambling is the mean of the entertainment and my relief of the stress. It is not used for accumulation of my profit and because of that, I do not gamble on my work. I gamble in my free time when I come home or when I have time for it. I appreciate gambling as such but my work is more important then casinos. Because I do not use the gamble rooms for making the profit I cannot depend on the casinos as of the services for earning money. My work is stable and secure and I wouldn't risk losing it because of the possible wins from my lucky bets.

What gambling game you are gambling? I do gamble at school before when I don't have classes and I haven't tried it out that I miss a class or lost time in work or school just because of gambling. It still depends on the gambler on how he'll manage his gambling addiction. Yes l experience it already when l used to be an addict gambler before in my life. Because of gambling l don't even have time for my kids to prepare their needs.All lm thinking is all about how to gonna win the game because l always lose often in gambling until l've so many debts that's why all in my mind is to go to gambling site just to win the game for.I really experienced my children hates me because l don't have time already for them.Its really a disgusting life l have that time, But thank God lm free now. Well it's great you are out of addiction but i don't think everyone that looses time at school or work to gamble is an addict but then since we all live in different time zones and we mostly play online these days one is like to loose sleep or any time whatever it might be for to gamble at the designated time of the game. But I have different opinion in this regard. I think if you were a gambler, you also would have wasted a lot of time in gambling as other gamblers do.

They simply play all the time when they are free. I am saying this because some of my close friends who are gamblers also, they waste a lot of time in gambling and if they come out from home to buy something for home, this becomes compulsory to them to visit betting place at once.

I agree, base also to my experienced during my school days I didn't lose because my priority is my studies. I need to be fucos to my studies in order to have a good grades and to be a consistent as a dean's lister which also a good background to my education and gives me a great advantage during applying a job. I admit that I also try my luck in gambling and relieved my stressful moment during exams but it's not my priority at all which I want is to enjoy with my friends and classmates.

That's a good thing if you do it. Our study is more important than our extra activities. We should maintain our time and life, also we should enjoy our life and gambling is good enjoyment thing. But gambling is not a reason to disturb our study or work. Only one reason is, if we maintain our time then we could do everything every easily and sanctify.

As I am a student my first priority is to pay full attention to my studies and then if I get some time out of my busy schedule as on the weekend or so, I prefer to play the poker or dice game in the nearby casinos and betting money is also limited therefore I am yet safe from losses and depression.

Gambling needs lot of time from your routine and that for sure. You cannot say that I gamble only in your free time. Gambling has unavoidable charm and it attracts a person who shows little interest in it. My uncle’s friend was a salesman and driver and he was busy in making both ends meet. Then, he started gambling. He got so addicted to it that he gave up his business and started full time gambling.

Never in my life that i lose time from work or school due to gambling i am always focus in my studies and i don't want gambling will ruin it.

That is amazing if you really do this, and it would be highly appreciated it you really implement this strategy of yours. You don’t need to be indicted with this gambling in your entire life. You must draw yourself away from it although your friends are into this. This is harmful and you will be in highly if you try this even once. Focus on your studies and make your future bright for you.

You need not worry? As long as you limit the money and time you have and discipline then you need not worry. But if you can not be disciplined then gambling for anything will be a problem. Gambling to skip work and school is an example of undisciplined gambling. Gambling is not a top priority, gambling should not be a top priority.
 

This is a bad sign, most of the time you can tell that a person is addicted to gambling when their gambling begins to affect their everyday lives, if you cannot function normally due to gambling it is time to think about what you are doing and why, your gambling cannot be more important than your job or family.

Yes, before when l used to be a gambler l used to absent on my work because of gambling, we extend 24hours that's why I didn't go for work already. Not just one time but often so I've got fired. It's really memorable to me being a gambler. No time to anything just to gamble.

Yes I think it was back when I was in Second Year High School I was so addicted in gambling that almost everyday I would skip the class and just gamble my money,
I would set a match for me and my classmates to play for example Dota 1 we would play it and who ever wins would win the money.

During my colleges days i often gamble with my friends and sometimes i would skip class just to gamble with them, it took a toll on me when i didnt get enough grades on a class which a often skip, since that day i stop gambling and finish college then find a work and gamble once a month.

It's great you saw it quite early and quit to pursue your studies more seriously because many get entangled between studies and gambling and  the weak ones often give up their studies to gamble for money and are often plunged into addiction.

Also, I think you are lying that you haven’t missed your class or any other important activity due to gambling because if this is true, then answer me one thing that what you do when your match lasts long than you have expected. I don’t think you have guts to leave game.

You just live in the wrong environment, gambling never be a good habit for those people who didn't earn money yet by themselves, they tend to do it irresponsibly. No wonder they do crazy things that doesn't makes any sense like skipping something important for the sake of gambling. You should looking for a real help when it's happened.

And the problem is that it is difficult to tell if a person is addicted to gambling from the outside, you can tell someone is addicted to alcohol just by the smell of alcohol always lingering in that person all the time and by being drunk all the time but an addicted gambler looks completely normal and does not show any external signs of addiction.

Oh god, are you serious? How can this happen to you? I mean, why are you so addicted to do it? If i gamble, i do it at night, i would never be late for work just because i wanted to play a dice.

Gambling should be a past time and nothing more, it is not something that should rule your world. No one should be so in to it that you lose time for anything else. That is clear signs of an addiction. If anyone is in this situation, the first thing you should do is admit you have an addiction, and then get help.

Yes, if we cannot stop gambling then maybe we will be responsible enough to avoid conflict of the things that should need to be priorities like schooling or even in work. Time management is very important if we wanna do multi tasking activity, so schooling or time of work must be first given priority than that of gambling or its better to avoid that if you think you cannot control your gambling habit.

I would never let my work be affected because of gambling.

yes that losing time from my schooling due to gambling happened to me, and that happened because i am enjoying gamble and did not know already the time because of enjoyment and that time is i am winning so i did not expect that it is already late hour for my schooling. gamble is so addictive and risky.

Most people do not really understand that there are no shortcuts to becoming rich, things are never easy, most of the people that are rich are not because they inherited money or their family was rich they created their fortune by working hard and being smarter than other people.

Yes. I used to cut classes and go with my friends/classmates somewhere and play cards with our allowances. Until one day i was caught and i got grounded and scolded all day and all night. Been punished and been taken out my school allowance.

Only on small percentage for those people who are really rich because they do inherit it but on most cases people do become rich because of such work same as you said there are no shortcuts on life specially on becoming rich.Most people are hurrying up on becoming one and doing things already just like gambling.Yes it can give the possibilities but chances are really very very slim which if you do it desperately instead of becoming rich you would end up on breaking your own life.
