Similar regulation may soon be coming to USA, too. This July, SEC warned that ICOs were being used to sidestep the law, and last week the agency issued another statement describing coin offerings as potential scams.

I´ve read that Chineses can´t participate in the ICO´s inside China, but stil cann buy coins ( BTC, XEM , ETC ) and participate in other ICOs outside of the country, like Dimcoin, Bankera, etc..
It can be very good for the ICOs ongoing. Can atract a high demand from China.

I dont think that other countries will ban ICOs soon. China is just freaking out at the moment. I mean why should they follow them? The people just need to do a better research, before they invest their money in crap!
In China most user's are misuse the initial coin offering. So china was ban. This problem is explore in many countries. Most of the countries are said to ban ICO, But not completely ban in china it is on process.

There should be a proper way to make it, nof banning it fully, but minimizing only the ICO, China bans ICO for the threat that can cause only to get scammed or being fraud. If only ICO can filter then it be a lot easier not to be a victim.

In my opinion, the total prohibition of the ico is idiotic. Not many will make o & m, or will act like China, banning the ico at the time for its subsequent resolution and regulation.

As we can observe also there are many scammers. Thus, regulation is better to implement and it is good for all and for the investors as well.

Cryptocurrency or ICO is not popular in our country and only a few knows how BTC works that's why I may say that it will never be banned and if in case that BTC will be promoted here, I don't think that it will be banned just like what happened in China because for the fact that most of us can earn money without any capital by just joining any campaign and I think people in our country will benefit once they know how BTC works.

Banning may not be on the idea of other countries. Unless there's a group of people that are into economic protest or get victimize by the ICO like what some Chinese investors gets afraid that's why they banned it.

XTRABYTES will soon shine as ICOs increasingly are banned as they break basic security laws. XBY Dapps business model doesn't need an ICO or new token.

Other countries won't ban ICO and China won't stay with this ban. They will find a way to allow ICOs but probably with more some regulation and the ICO projects themselves will be carefully to show a working product.

It doesn't really matter because none of other countries as big as China and USA. Even if they ban ICO's it won't affect market as hard as this news. I think China will lift this ban soon too, they can't ban, they want to regulate. USA banned ICO's and everybody saw the consequences. It's their loss, not ours. Wait patiently and you won't lose your money. Don't sell any coin at loss.
You forgot about Korea. I think all countries will regulate ICO's, so the party is over. Especially will be important the case of Korea and Japan. Is Korea truly big enough? There were news about Korea banning icos and closing exchanges but the market didn't notice that. What's more, I believe exchanges are still working as if nothing happened (for example, bitfinex was supposed to be closed), so I guess icos are hard to ban in liberal-oriented countries and most of countries don't really affect the market. I think that ico panic is over and, even though it is possible that icos will become more and more regulated, prices of coins won't suffer from that much anymore.

I don't think this is really important. Only the bigger countries such as China and the United States of America matter to this subject. I mean what would the difference be if a smaller country like France would ban ICO's? I don't think it would influence the market nor the price of the ICO's.

I think some will do because some countries are so strict on things like that, they want to do all of projects like that should be covered by the law. They want their government be part of their country and should pay every bill that a project should pay. Also, they want every ICO to follow thier rules and regulations. On the other hand, some countries will not ban those ICOs because some countries are not strict on things like that because some countries just focus on their culture and traditions, and their country as a whole.

I think it is temporary. China will at least give permission to exchanges. They banned ICOs to stop it immediately because regulations are not ready now and people will lose money because of scam projects.

China banned ICO, but is it temporary or constant? what other countries will ban ICO? ICO is a development of market, I really think so but they should be regulated to decrease scams
