On behalf of Cognitive, I am auctioning off two SC Single units, ordered when BFL was promising 64gh/s per unit. BFL has said they will honor this original hashrate, so these will be two of the fastest units out there Smiley

The order number is 3277 and was placed on 7/14/12.

The starting bid is 50BTC, and please bid in increments of 1BTC. Follow the format n@x (e.g. 1@100 meaning one unit for 100 coins). The Auction ends on June 7th, 2013 at 9:00 AM PST. Every bid after 8:55 AM PST on the final day adds another 5 minutes.

Free shipping to USA, everywhere else buyer assumes shipping cost. I reserve the rights to reject any bid and to cancel the auction at any point before payment is made.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Cheers,
Garrett

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Payment when the auction ends or when BFL sends the shipping notice?  Is this an upgrade order or a straight purchase?  Thanks.

Payment is due when the auction ends. It is an upgrade order, but that won't matter to you because I will be sending them the old unit then sending the winner of this auction the new one. Actually it is advantageous, because they are slightly prioritizing upgrade orders via their 1/3 shipping plan.

Cheers,
Garrett

I was just about to write another post stating that I will not be using an escrow. This is because revenue from this sale will immediately be put into Cognitive's growth fund, which we might need to utilize before BFL ships. Additionally, there should be no trust issues, because I am a fairly trusted person here, managing well over $100k of other peoples' assets, and even a few hundred btc of the forum's money. Cognitive, the company I manage, currently has a market cap of over BTC2000 which I'm quite proud of Smiley

What happens if/when BFL does not deliver? Will you issue a refund if BFL does not ship in the next 6 months?

I am not going to offer an insurance policy on the preorder. It is BFL's responsibility to get the product to the customer.

However, if you would like to hedge against BFL delivering I'd recommend finding someone to make a bet with.

Cheers,
Garrett

FYI, BFL never offered a 64GH/s unit.  They offered 40GH/s units initially, which were then upgraded to 60GH/s units.

FYI, BFL never offered a 64GH/s unit.  They offered 40GH/s units initially, which were then upgraded to 60GH/s units.

I sent BFL an email last year asking about this when they changed their product lineup, and they confirmed that they will be delivering 64gh/s per unit in this order. Hence my saying "...so these will be two of the fastest units out there."

Thanks for the heads up though.

Cheers

Interesting.  This is the first time I've ever heard 64GH/s from anyone.  You must've gotten lucky somehow then.  Mine was originally 40 GH/s, then 60GH/s, and still at 60GH/s.

Sorry for the above message, I am not sure why I can not delete or edit it.

I also have not heard of this either and I have been watching most BFL threads.  You might get a 60gh unit and a 5gh unit or it all may be a mistake and it may be 60h.  60gh and 5gh would be nice!

AFAIK, BFL just says that they will match the GH in the order - this does not mean that it will easily be split into two 64GH units...it could be, for example, 3 units @42GH each.  Just saying...

Like I said previously, I am going to provide no insurance for BFL's choices. You are bidding on orders for 64gh/s units; it'd be different if I had the unit in hand.

Best,
Garrett
