OK,  lets do this.

1.   It would be great if all the buyers  would email me with a subject line   GROUP BUY PHILIPMA.
      why?  god forbid any of you  should have an RMA.  But if you do I,  then I will need a purchase
      date and this is one way I can sort out customers who buy in the group buy, otherwise  you
      are not in our system.
2.   Once The numbers of buyers and controllers is settled,  I will make an invoice for the buy.
      

3.   The organizer will get 2 free machines. i understand philipma did this before and got no love.
      i want to remedy this.
      
 

later  I'm just going to make a regular  product  for group buys  something like  60 Machines  and 30 controllers.
after I look at the numbers. Its also an easy way to be an insta-reseller

Some clown  tried to attack our site  by uploading 1000s of chinese documents  making it
impossible to answer tickets.  Cleaned up,  what a moshpit!

I'm running through mails now  trying to solve some overdue problems  and overlooked tickets.

we started discussion with 30 units>>>> this would mean  btc only

and the buy grew to 100>>>> this would mean bank transfer accepted I can find no btc

maybe when all is said and done shrinking to smaller buys and allowing btc fixes this.

I know you are annoyed but look at this from my viewpoint  12 hours labor so far  most likley all for naught.

I am disappointed, but not annoyed and I fully recognize and appreciate the (potentially wasted) time you put into this.

I was not aware that this started as a sub-60 unit order.  

In any case, the two order solution sounds like it should work for both parties.  We'll see.

Yeah you are right no sense leaving a frozen group buy open.

@ sidehack pm me  I will take some kits off your hands.

Yeah it would have been nice if anything had worked out this month. I did see they put out some vague info about a Distributor. Hopefully located in North America, and not charging an arm and a leg for Hardware.

I still can't help but feel that we've been screwed over by Canaan. The only reason I bought bitcoins at around the $4700 mark was for this group buy, and by the time Canaan threw us under the bus, it was already too late to sell without making a significant loss.

In the end they are just a company, with limited transparency; no good guys or bad guys. They want to make a dollar and one of the best ways to do that is to oversell your products. Airlines do it all the time, every new iphone is pre-ordered and even then you may get it a month or 2 late. It's the way of business. Hopefully this new distribution system gives canaan the option to breakdown pallets to fill smaller orders as well as provide bulk buys. Time will tell. A lot of us lost money on the price dive, some more than others.

The distributor is live, they have sold out of controllers. If you want a unit I would check them out soon.
