I've registered yesterday, but today tried to enter again and all i have after inserting 2FA code is a 400 error page....

No ways to contact support to open a ticket until you are not logged in --- that's really stupid, if i can't login how i can put a ticket to solve this problem WTF !?!?!?!?!?

edit: after 4 / 5 attempts worked....

Still remains a stupid thing that for support you need to be logged in to create a ticket....

I would be very careful with this exchange. It seems like they are totally unable to handle sustained attacks on their servers. They have resorted to processing withdrawals manually and blocking IP addresses, along with disabling new user registrations for more than a week now. I hope that everything turns out okay, but it's a bit worrisome.

Have you tried to connect to the site using a VPN? That's what I would suggest, or at least the TOR browser if nothing else. Other users are reporting that, due to attacks which Nova seems unable to properly address, they are banning IP ranges. That's also why they've shut down the registration function. It seems that some users, depending on their country of residence, are unable to connect at all.

If you can connect via VPN, then get your coins off this exchange ASAP. They seem incompetent at best, and on the verge of exit scamming at worst.

The website is up for now and trading activities are on going, my only advise is that you should set your 2-factor on your account to avoid account hacking.

I just tried to register. I wasn't using a VPN and I said my country was the USA. I'll try an international VPN node and/or say I'm in Sweden.

I know they list a bunch of tiny market cap coins that are listed hardly anywhere else, but I really hope that people signing up now aren't risking much. This exchange could go down any day now. They've already told you (since a few weeks ago) that they are in "Beta" and if they mismatch your order, you may lose funds because of their screwup.

They are under constant attack. This is to be expected. Any exchange is going to be operating in an adversarial environment -- significant money is at stake, so hackers are always not far behind.

But unfortunately, there is no sign that anything will change. Nova is incompetent. They can't seem to address the attacks, so they continue to run in "Beta" while mass IP banning and shutting down registrations:

Lite wallets are unsafe, trust the secret corporation stationed in london who took control of the once open source project called coinomi at your own risk, I do not. The only secure way no store your coins is cold storage where your and only you have the private keys, however, the absolute best solution is to store your coins on the actual wallet provided for the coin. Yes this requires downloading a huge blockchain, as well as needing to password protect your wallet with a strong password that you can remember. Also backup your .dat wallet file in a password protected .zip file. Email this to yourself!

Today I tried to log into novaexchange, for the first time, the orderbooks do not appear. I emailed support. Luckily I follow my own advice, I hope you do to. If you lost coins I am sorry, we can only learn from OUR own mistakes and do things better.

People are too ignorant and lazy to understand this. In most cases they prefer the convenience online wallet services and exchanges offer when it comes to storing coins. Their logic for leaving coins on whatever exchange is that they are then in a position to quickly dump their coins if needed. It's a twisted form of laziness, but one that eventually will cost them their coins -- at the end of the day, people only learn when things hit them in their wallet.

Also backup your .dat wallet file in a password protected .zip file. Email this to yourself!

That's not a good idea either. Regardless of how strong your password is, when wallet files are stored online, they are exposed to unnecessary risks. Storing your wallet.dat files on several USB drives is a far better solution.

Apparently the owners are selling the exchange, and it will reopen with new owners in the future. Withdraw all your coins before the deadline.

You can't at this time.  I would like to sign up over there too but i have jumped onto their home page from time to time and read over the news on what they are doing. it is a shame i cant stand some of the other exchanges high fees or high minimal trades. The only site that is worth trading on is tradesatoshi.com low fees and low transactions for altcoins and a decent trollbox over there.

We have a few new faces since taking over Nova in late April and they are all fast learners.

Over the summer we have been working like crazy to re-start Nova, and when we do, we want to set a very high standard (adding the word "Standard" to our name is not a coincidence). The world of crypto is quite new, it is shaping itself as we move along, and we want to shape it, not get dragged along with it.

This means being, and staying, reliable. It means providing a service where the only surprises to hit the traders are sudden movement in the price of their favorite coin. Nothing else. No surprises.

SO! When do we open for new registrations?

We haven't set the date yet. Because when we do, we want you all to know that that date is set in real old fashioned stone. So, stay with us for that. We'll be there quite soon.
