They are actively blocking clients on their social media profiles.

If they don't just ignore them but actively prevent them from contacting Poloniex, I think there's a quite fair possibility that all the problems Poloniex is having are connected between them.

The troll-box removal definitely made things worst because mods were answering at least a few questions there and the problem with the community is that they trust services when they have huge trading volume and they remain reputable for long term but everyone should remember what happened to Mt.gox and other services, It was all okay until and suddenly everything vanished. It doesn't matter If it was an inside job or a real hack, the less amount stored in exchanges, the better.
