Ripple will always be the whales little toy. Newbs constantly flood in because they see it as the #3 market cap coin thinking its "safe", "reliable", "big project"

Fair call, I guess people will stay happy with it if they keep making money from trading with it.

It looks like a reasonable coin to trade, its price had settled for a while at around $0.15-0.18. Recently, its price has several fluctuations after surpassing $0.28. It's a good deal to buy at ~$0.18-0.20. It has potential if you buy a lot of them, in order to expect profit.

No, it's because Ripple does not have the concerns these others coins are dealing with the FED and SEC since xrp is fully compliant. This is why money will eventually flock to it.

That's what I was expecting to be the reason but want a 100% sure if they were fully compliant. Thanks for confirming that.

Non only ripple but all of the crypto try to comeback, due to the some countries announcing a bad stuff for the crypto user and that gives a bad mentality for the token holders.
And that was the main thing that the crypto is stand with its legs

The last laugh goes to Ripple XRP, to miners and traders XRP is not so attractive but for whales and hodlers, they can see a rainbow after a dark storm from China's ICOs crackdown. XRP is one of the serious and boring alt coins to invest but its surprisingly has the power to rise above all.

We all watch the market right now, I was afraid of it because I thought it could go down to $0.15 again. My cost is $0.3 and I'm still waiting to escape from this loss. Once it hits $0.3, I'll directly sell it.

This right here is the reason why ripples price doesnt dump all the way to the floor. Way too many bagholders waiting to breakeven after jumping on a sinking ship Tongue

I think it would rise pretty well even further if people didn't keep selling big chunks every time it hits 0.24 . If everyone just sat still and let it continue to rise they would al make more money.

Doesn't really work that way. It's similar to trading real stocks. Buy low, Sell High. If someone manages to profit even by a 1 Cent increase, he will do it. It's because these kind of coins (Low Value) can easily be traded and result in profit.

Repeating the above process several times can achieve a nice short term profit, if you have the guts to do it.
Those who doesn't (Including me) just hold their coins and hope for the best.

Yea that is a fair point. Hopefully all it takes is a few more people like ourselves to jump on Ripple coin and help stabilise the price in a upward direction

Something I've always wondered about:

Ripple requires an activation fee of 20XRP (or 50XRP, depending who you ask it seems).

If you want to transfer all XRP to another account (in other words, empty your old one completely), will it be possible to transfer those too? I'm not talking about the activation fee that you're given by some online wallet services, but your own Ripples.

Assuming one has all relevant account data (like username, password, address and secret key), is it possible to create a transaction that changes the balance of that account to 0, ie inactivates it?

If not, that's kinda stupid because in the long run there will be only accounts with 20XRP sitting in it and nobody can send any coins anymore.

I agree with you! While the banks and whales make money with speculative movements in ripple, the newbie still think ripple is reliable.

Is there a transaction that Ripple has actively made with banks? Or is it just a sham, a fake community of contracts? I will always stay away from Ripple.

PBoC and Antfinancial at Ripple headquarters.. and a few days later a Ban on ICOs in China... doesnt this sound a little bit like NCE conspiracy?  Smiley
