If you push them right you can get 600+ MH/s out of them if you have good airflow and such. That is without pushing them too hard. I have two Sapphire HD 7950 Flex which do alright. But if you are looking to buy something you might want to take a look at a 16 chip Avalon sale or something. You'll get more hashing per dollar.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190731.0 has some information. The Custom Hardware section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=76.0 has group buys and some of the group buys also assemble for you. I recommend spending a LOT of time reading all the different open and closed sales that are active or over and pay attention to the Rep of the person offering the sale and how they are doing it. If they are not using Escrow then be wary. Yes there are some that will work out fine but use Escrow Escrow Escrow Escrow

are stuff like this any good? Notice that part: THE ITEM WILL BE SHIPPED IN JULY (2 MONTHS). IMHO this is *highly* dubious as no one can be sure that BFL will have shipped by then. If you are new here, they promised September, then October, then November, then December, then January, then February, then March, then April, and now what month is it again?

It's not really worth it to mine on video cards any more as the difficulty has spiked since ASICs came into being. Instead of buying a new video card for the purpose of mining, I would reccomend some sort of ASIC device. Even a low end one will give you MUCH more hash/$ than any video card.

So let me get this straight.
- Buy avalon chips in a group buy - send them to burnin ( or however you spell it) - He mounts them to a board for me - he sends me the end result and i start mining
correct? say i buy 20 chips, its only 300 to start? not including shipping and fees etc.
