Problem Gamblers here who are in Debt ?

Whenever i remember my bad times i remember those peoples also who lost their everything in this gambling addiction. i want to know what you think about such peoples and how they need to survive after so much losses in their life.
I personally knows some people who are in big debt and they even cant recover that debt and tries to commit suicide every time . so guys can you tell me whats the best solution for them regain their happiness in their life ?

This thread is only for those peoples opinion who faced such situations and recovered or atleast know how to tackle such situations in easy way ( btw i know its not easy )

Just don't kill themselves! Life really has a lot of things still to offer than just be miserable and thinking to kill themselves! The problem is that people get narrow minded whenever faced with problems. They think it is the end of the world of them and the only solution is to kill themselves. Well they are wrong, they can still pay back those debts and they can still live a happy life. It may be hard, but that is the consequence of what they did.

There are many things still waiting for you in your life. We all are at times hit by misfortunes; they are just our tests, god’s ways of teaching us some important lessons and make us strong to fight with all problems. Debt can be easily paid back if you have family support and you are not involved in suicidal thoughts.

Best solution in this case is stop gambling and find a real job.I know it will cost much time to pay all these debts but trust me, that's the best solution. If you keep gambling , maybe you could pay all the debts ( small percents) or your debt will becomes can't be paid. So working is less risky way, it costs time and it teaches you a lesson about control your gambling.

Yup as long as they are not done yet on their debts,it will be a burden for them for long to enjoy playing. When we are in debt we always want to win that turns out to be a frustration to us that happens to be our lose,so better find job to pay debts and back in game for enjoyment.

Agree with you but i think would be better if you give anyone suggestion for not use money from loan to gambling or trading or anything else. especially when they are on debts, thay will feel like have a burden on their mind and if they are push them self to gambling, it will make them lose more money then can't paid the debt.

Using those loan money to gambling isnt really wise and would really pressure you to make money out of it.This is why we should not think off on this would be the last resort to solve our problems because it would really make the things goes worst even more.I do really believe that there are lots of people who have have still debts on playing gambling and this should really be stopped by them if they dont really like to experience unexpected even more worst things happen as the time goes by.

Of course they will not happy about it, they have debt and they lose their money in gambling so what they are expecting to happen? No one doesn't want to lose what he got for gambling. Your last sentence is very true and I can relate with it that whenever we tried to borrow money from other people, let's be responsible for it and don't use it for gambling.

The problem is that they always play and play and continue to borrow money to different people just to play gambling because of the greedy attitude and the confidence of winning eventhough it doesn't. Many people are always borrowing money just to gamble but they not able to pay it back because of always losing.

The main problems of gamblers that are in debt is that they didn't able to pay it back all the money they borrowed they just still borrow money from different people and continue to play gambling even if they are always losing. They end up bankrupt and not paying the money they borrowed from different people.

Some i recovered in sports betting by betting only on the matches which i am sure of winning. but most of the time i dont bet not more.

Its really a painful lessons for me to. I had to go through this process for more than 2 years just to pay everything that I have squandered during the height of my addiction. I'm not going to back, because its really frustrated and I'm so disappointed on myself. I do still bet but for fun and I have control now.

Wow. Seriously, these stories saddens me. Why would you guys risk so much just to gamble? Did you guys really think you will double the money in the end? One thing, let go and they will move on.  Though I agree that to regain happiness, the solution is in their hands.  There are several option, forget all about debts and gambling then move on with life, though this will give distrust to you.  The best is as stated by passwordnow,  look for a job slowly pay all your debt  and avoid gambling.  Time will come that all of these debts will be paid and you will regain your happiness in life.

I was in a deep gambling addiction a while back, I was extremely close to losing just about everything, including my girlfriend. I got help from her and her family to settle debts that I had and I started working double shifts to pay off whatever I owed to them. I think that the one thing that made me realize I was in an addiction other than the loss of money and property was when I was faced with losing the love of my life, that was the only thing that made me change and taught me to make better decisions in my life. It was a struggle and it sometimes still is as I still can feel the urge whenever I walk by a casino or come across a new online casino. I take it day by day and I tell my girlfriend whenever I fear I might relapse. So far so good and I've not had a gambling debt for over 3 years.

Because those that gamble for fun like the risk of losing money, look at all those persons that like to practice extreme sports or that practice martial arts, those activities are risky and they do it because they like the feeling they get when they do that, I think gambling is similar.
