Has anyone successfully used these to mine on computers that don't support PCIe? If it works it will give me a chance to add to my mining for the cost of the video cards alone.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

You should be able to get away with using at least one of them.  People have reported their motherboards burning out with more than one, but there are limited sources that back this up.

They work. Just use powered risers on them, preferably 16x.

Thought they were to expensive to be of any real use.

BitCoin is NOT a pyramid - it's a pagoda.

30 bucks each.  Worth it if you are going to high density or don't want to invest in an entirely new rig.

Hi,
These do work for mining sucesefully. And it is worthwhile to invest into these if you have spare ports/power.
Since rebuying the CPU/Mobo/Ram/Psu is more expensive than investing 30$ into a adapter!
