It will be worth if that ICO can become valuable, before you buy the discount ICO you need to make sure you buy the legit coin and it can be valuable in the future, if you buy the right coin you can get a lot of profit, but buying ICO is almost like gambling, the outcome really random

How do you identify if it's legit or not ?

Take a look over the ICO that is on my signature, they were offering a 40% discount for the first investors, and now they are offering a 25% of discount.
And yes, some of them ar worth it, you only need to pay attention about where are you putting your money.

sure, that token can become the very valueable coins if the ICO success, so they sale off 50% just want to attract more investors to their project, but not all ICO can success, they may fail and the tokens may be useless, sometimes the ICO take investors money and gone forever. our responsibility is to make research carefully before invest in that ICO.

That is a just a marketing strategy, if you can buy when those stages are opened, then  the best thing that you can do is just buy, i know that maybe a lot of people are always scared of buying with a high discount.
But if you believe in the project, i think that buying on the pre-ico is a very nice desicion

What's the "pre" in presale about if anyone is permitted to buy in it? The more restrictive it is, the better (only huge ammounts, not marketed/secretive etc.) but today they are just marketing props

It's a marketing ploy, but it's not so different than early seed money in venture capital. Generally, the earliest angel investors in a startup get a much larger share of the company than later investors. And this makes perfect sense, doesn't it? They are taking the most risk. It's like Series A vs. Series B funding. Once you get to the later rounds of funding, it's clear that the business model is viable and investor demand is much higher. Price is therefore higher.

It's definitely riskier investing in an ICO that has raised $0 than an ICO that has raised $50 million. That's what justifies the pre-ICO vs. ICO price.

Hey guys  Are Pre-ICO 50% discounts worth investing into? and if so, in what conditions do you guys look into to make proper investments.

Of course that they are, there are a lot of ico's who are offering that kind of discounts just on their pre-ico stages.

Take a look over the last projects that have been succesfull ones and they have offered incredible returns, specially on their first stage of their pre-ico.

TenX has offered more than 35% just for the early investors (in their pre-ico 1)

Far as i know, Waves did something similiar to them, they offered 30% of discount if i am not wrong.

But 50% is not bad, it is a big discount but most of the ico's that are offering this kind of return are the ones who doesn't have a big marketing strategy, and they are trying to raise money at all costs.

It will be worth if the service is good.
There will be more investors when they know its project is something.
Somehow this investors are connected or getting pulled by each other.
They will keep on coming as long as they know someone in there is a good investor too.

I personally like getting into ICOs after they list, because they almost all drop in price
