It's too hard to track stolen Bitcoin, especially nowadays. He has probably put it through a mixer a couple of times and when you just track the address it's empty.
Keep your bitcoin safer next time and use hardware wallets as they are almost impossible to crack.

the only thing you can trace is the transactions. you can see them on the blockchain to see where the money is going. what you can't do is to telling who does those addresses (that are receiving the funds) belong to. you can also use walletexplorer or one of the paid "blockchain analysis" services. but don't get your hopes up.
and no, you can not "retract" bitcoin if you have already sent it and the transaction is confirmed. there is no charge back or undo button in bitcoin.
The only one can trace transaction that could have an issue on regards to transaction is the one who have manage to transact. Because if you are going to deal with transaction you are capable on seeing the transaction through block chain and if fail to success you could check in the blockchain.

First off, your title is not in sync with your main thread's OP. Tracing is quite different from reversing a transaction. Anyway I would just answer both. First, tracing stolen BTC. It is possible, however it will be hard depending on the skill of the scammer. If he would be using tumblers and mixers, then you would definitely have a hard time tracing where your funds went to. Especially if the mixer does not cooperate in case an investigation asks them for the logs of the transactions, which of course will not be released since that is against what a mixer really is. Second, retracting or reversing a transaction. The very feature of bitcoins is it being irreversible. If it was easily reversed then that would mean a lot of transactions will just definitely disappear and that would also mean it will be an unreliable system. Since there is no central government to bitcoins, there would be no mediator in case of a dispute and someone wants to reverse a transaction.

This is the problem once the wallet has been hacked we cannot refund our hard earned money. Only we can see the history of a transaction in the blockchain. The very important thing to do is to secure your wallet and never share your private keys and other details just to be safe.

Well, You cannot. It is really hard to trace who stolled the Bitcoins from your friend, Well there is one way but it will not help you at all, You can trace the transactions from the first one to the last where the Bitcoins will stop, It will not help because it can be sent to many users or it can be used to purchase something or it could be sent to exchange.

I do not think so, because usually the bitcoin wallet is tightly closed using a complicated key address, but you can see the transactions that occur in the wallet

You can trace your transaction but you cannot trace the person behind or responsible of it. It is very important to secure your password and your smart phone and desktop wherein you are capable of any transaction to secure your BTC at all times.

It's possible to track it on the blockchain system by entering the wallet code or tx code. If the scammer uses a bitcoin mixer, it won't be possible to track it. The bitcoins will be divided into many groups. And tracking it doesn't give you any benefit honestly. I agree with you it is impossible to track your accounts otherwise the only eay to track your accounts if youre spreading your password to your friend or bestfriend but many pro hacker now can hack your accouny so keepsafe and make sure your password is safe.

You can't trace the person for sure. But you may not trace the transactions as well. If that scammer gets monero, and you can never follow monero blockchain's transaction list. It's not visible. You will have to say good bye to your lost money.

Correct there are no tools yet to recover all the transaction made in bitcoin and make sure all your bitcoin wallet has private key for security purposes, just be careful next time on doing transaction double check it before you send your fund and also make sure that you been transact in the trusted person or site or company.

I heard this from one of the support team of Paxful when I got scammed.
They traced the IP and transaction. Turns out it was a big time scammer. They froze the other accounts and awarded me the btc.
Not sure with the specifics but that's how they said it when I asked for details.
Nice. Do you have more input about how you made this happen?

Nice. Do you have more input about how you made this happen? That scammer must have been really stupid. He should have withdrawn the Bitcoin a long time before instead of leaving it in his Paxful account.

Oh my! I am afraid this won't be traced as to who really the culprit was. You can trace the transaction because it is available in the blockchain records but it might be up to that only. Unless perhaps this scamming involves several millions of dollars that the international police cyber experts will help. But if it only involves several BTC then, there is only one option left. To appeal to the one who did this stupid scamming. But I doubt if this person will turn out to be someone merciful.

the only one thing left when you trying to track the scammer is the transaction id or hash id. but if you want to know if either to whom is that btc wallet, its totally impossible because of its anonymous identity unless, like in our country, our btc wallet here has a feature of whole personal info of our identity, so they can track the person who scam/stole your btc by the help of wallet admin provider.

It is possible to track stolen BTC, and we have two examples for this. First, when Tomáš Jiřikovský stole the coins from Sheep Marketpklace, a few of the victims tracked his transactions and in the end that led to his arrest. And second instance was with the Mt Gox robbery. The coins were traced to BTC-e accounts owned by Alexander Vinnik, and this was one of the reasons behind his arrest this year.
