all coin have the advantage and disadvantage we can't say that bitcoin is better than other coins, and we can't say that other coins is better than bitcoin, all coin has advantage and disadvantage for example is bitcoin is more stable than other coin, you ccan see the graphic of bitcoin and other coin, it says that bitcoin is more stable than other coin in the market

Apart from what has been said it think BTC has the power of what we could call “branding association”, like Coca Cola. It is the most famous, number one cryptocurrency, and that represents a competitive advantage versus other cryptos. Other cryptos might have other advantages vs. BTC but as BTC is an open-source currency, it can be changed for improvement, as it happened recently with Segwit activation.

We can’t be 100% sure that another crypto will become the number one in the future but I think the most likely scenario is that that won’t happen.
