Hello, I am the developer of digitalcoin. Now that everything is going well, it's time to move on to the next phase: implementation. I am working with a couple of other developers to create applications integrating digitalcoin. I need your votes to get an idea of what direction the community wants digitalcoin to take. Thank you.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Something that EVERY new altcoin is missing which amazes me Paper Wallet/Bulk Wallet creator. This is fundamental for any serious new coin and goes back to the roots of secure cold offline wallets.
Please see for an example: bitaddress.org liteaddress.org
Best regards Phil.

If anyone is interested in making a wallet I would highly recommend checking out carbonwallet.com and their source code (find on the bottom of their page). It works like blockchain.info in the sense that are your keys and shit are done locally, but instead of username and password they give you a deterministic passphrase. They use blockchain.info's pushtx; this would have to be changed to use a local DGCd or something, and key generation is a little bit different. I'd love to do this, but I have other, more important things in life that I have to code first.

Both of you have great ideas that are definitely needed and wanted.
Let's see how the rest of the community feels.

only thing anyone cares about these coins is what can I do with them? Usually that's buy/sell stuff with them.

I think music and game download services would be ideal to get DGC on the map. Will be impossible to get iTunes to adopt DGC but targeting smaller services is more realistic.

i concur that marketplace viability is key, no matter how small. I'm a music producer and I have a host but havne't built a website around it at all. I'd love a template so I could accept DGC as a currency for downloading my tracks. Beatport is the gold standard in this regard, but way too complicated to rip off, i'm looking for something much smaller, a small indy record label, just to get a template on how to do it myself.
I really don't have any website making skills, but i'd love to give it a shot. I don't write code, i cut wax. But Honestly there are hundreds of thousands of indy musicians who are really given the choice to give their music away for free, or charge some fiat currency which is a pretty polarizing choice for most people.
In my head, this is the ideal market for the leading coin going forward. As a consumer i'd be very willing to part with some digital currency for some digital goods. It seems like a nice fit.

The most popular choice so far seems to be the marketplace.
Any ideas of what sort of marketplace? What features would you like to have?

You can now spend your DGC on www.DigiHits.pw and buy advertising on that site Thats one thing you can do with them so far "Your link and DGC Address have been saved. Once 52.83843663 DGC is sent to DBbPE8hwehM66B4EF2aQXc5ih5mJPvGRcg your link will be added to the rotation for 30 days. There are #13 links in the rotation other then yours!"
