Well Google Ventures has control of about $100 million a year, this is huge! So it more on that side then Kevin Rose is supporter of bitcoins.

Its only  matter of time before google checkout lets you use bitcoin. They would know paypal is considering it so might want to stay ahead of the curve.

I don't see this happening, remember google ventures and google are separate things. When google acquires a company it isn't done thru google ventures. So this would be for investment purposes only.

How is it old news? Yes he did talk about bitcoins with Second lifer creator, but if you remember he said he reformatted his computer and lost them. He never said if he own any more and at that point. Now I am pretty sure he owns them and is becoming more of a fan getting back into them.
