I never gamble to escape worry, trouble,boredom,loneliness, grief or lose, mainly because I know gambling is inherently stupid and you are going to lose, but I like the thrill of gambling in special occasions when I take a trip to Las Vegas with friends or something. So actually I gamble less than 10 days per year.

If I was rich I would like to attend the big boxing fights in MGM grand and I would for sure play around in the casino while im at it, but im not rich so im stuck watching pirated streams.

We do have the same hopes  How i wish that i would be rich like that in able to do those things i do really like to experience but well back to the topic I do play gambling when my mood is good and if i do have vacant times.I dont really play on those times when im in trouble or boredom,grief/loss because most of the time i will not able to enjoy my game because i cant think off properly for sure.

No such thing occurs in my part, even if I feel troubled, bored, loneliness or discomfort towards something I just play a game or go out with friends bonding with my relatives because that is the way of life you just need to handle it and pray to GOD, and not resulting to just gambling to just be your cover for all of your problems because worst case scenario it can become even worst, but I have known someone who resulted in playing gambling games when he feels that way and ended up addicted to it.

No, because there are other things that I can do to escape my problems like watching vlogs,movies, playing games and many more. Gambling would just cause you more problems once you start losing your bets it'll just become worse because and that could be the start of your addiction to gambling. Not a good idea if you want to escape from reality.

The best gamblers try to minimise or even withdraw all emotion during the time they are gambling. Emotions can largely affect your abilities to gamble to the best of your ability.

I only gamble for fun so it's not overly important how I feel but if you're gambling using big money you want your head to be straight.

Nope. The last thing I want to do whenever I feel a need to escape worry, trouble, loneliness, grief or loss is gamble. I only gamble when I'm feeling good vibes and no worries. And boredom is what boring, lazy people feel.

I can't imaging what it would feel like if you were feeling bad, sad, troubled, etc and you gambled and then lost. That would prolly make you feel ten times worse.

I only do it because I am bored. Not really because I want to escape worry, trouble, loneliness, grief or loss, those feelings can never be filled by gambling no matter what. If it does solve the problem, it is just something temporary. It is never a healthy way to avoid problems. The best solution to a problem is solve the problem.

I mostly remain surrounded with my family and relatives so I am not quite lonely but I used to be alone whole day when I was staying in a rented apartment for study few months back. I have gambled so much at those time because of boredom and one night I gambled whole night and also lost so much...

I am not gambling with real money these days, just playing with some free money like fake balance and play money to kill time.

I did not gamble just for those things. I gamble  because I want it and its a way to have the fastest profit and thats the reality. I cant even escape those things because when I'm lonely I'll just get into my room and will be there for how many hours. The samw with other feelings.

To escape boredom? Sure. With the clear mind that you are just 'paying' house edge for this.

However, if you do gamble for ant others of the mentioned reasons /worry, trouble,loneliness, grief or lose/ I think this is problematic gambling.

Yeaa having too much spare time could be the reason for anyone to start gamble.
As you feel boring have nothing to do and you have gambling habit previously.
You will run to gamble instead doing another hobby that actually not harmful , quite addictive.

I never gamble to forget my problems, although gambling can become a problem itself when I lose control. But that does not happen very often. Gambling can be very exciting and the thrill to earn easy money can make you forget about your concerns. So better to solve your problems and do not mix that with the gambling or you will miss all the fun.

Why do you think sports betting is better?
I always thought so too, but that was before bitcoin and provable fairness
Because it's more effort to frame sports matches than it is to a closed source casino
But since provable fairness is introduced I find gambling other than sports betting to be in the same rank

If you're going to pull out a bottle each time you feel lonely or you're going to start gambling, it doesn't matter, you're going to create habits that are beyond your mental control
You're just going to act as soon as you feel something bad although you know it's wrong
Don't drink and gamble or do drugs when you feel sad, just don't

I only gamble when I was bored, if I got trouble or grief I never gamble because it can distract me from gambling and I won't be able enjoy the game, gamble is best play when you are in clear mind and relax, with that you can really get the fun from gambling and gambling with problem on your mind can make you more stressful

Yes. sometimes I used this as an excuse to gamble. Specially if I'm bored I either play online or go to a landbased casino. Although its not a good reason to really play, I just found it to be effective method for me. I also play to escape my stress in life I don't want to think of it all the time. It's a stress reliever for me. And for those we said No, I think one time or another, you have gamble to get away from your problems in life. So I definitely agree with the OP here.

Yes, a lot of times already and most especially if I am bored and lonely. It makes me forget at that moment that I don't have a companion and doesn't make me feel I'm bored in fact it amuses me and makes me forget almost anything negativity crossing my mind.

As an occasional gambler, I do gamble most when I'm stressed and bored. Normally, I play once or twice a month in a nearby casino. Since I'm done with my addiction days I only tend to gamble to release my stress and to have fun and enjoy somehow.

I guess gambling while your an in a stage in which you are troubled/bothered, lonely, grief or loss. Would make a negative impact not only to yourself but also to people around you. I'm not saying that it could escalate into something unpleasant but the possibility of doing things beyond one's control is high.
