Personally I'm using a TREZOR, who now have SegWit-compatible wallets as well, and I'm taking payments to SegWit addresses from now on. I may be moving the rest of my funds there as well.
The
chart for SegWit's percentage of all transactions is looking positive and people are gradually starting to adapt to the change. Blocks that are larger than 1MB are now
regularly being mined as well.
My only disappointment is that I can't seem to sign messages. Other than that it seems great.
I was checking this in the last a few days and its definitely increasing (see the SegWit tab):
https://oxt.me/charts It shows the count.
Yeah I saw Adam Back tweeting about that earlier. TREZOR, too! Really great news. I expect to see Segwit transactions on the network steadily increase, especially because people are incentivized (by fees) to do so.
Any word on when Electrum will release their Segwit wallet? That's what I use mainly. Looking forward to saving some fees as well.
They tweeted about it on 23th August I believe, I'd we will see in the next couple of days or so and even If it takes more time It's fine for me because compared to the other wallet providers (with a lot of resources), Electrum was made by only one developer and its maintained by him and the community.
