Is EOS worth the gamble?

Read this article http://perc360.com/eos-doesnt-pass-quality-investment-test/ and everything else I have found isn't super positive...but I can't help myself to take the gamble with a few hundo.

if you think it is all positive, then just follow your heart 

i will not buy any EOS until they really have something rather than a whitepaper which claims that can do transactions one million times faster than any human technology today 
and they banned Americans from ICO, now they just ban Chinese, who will be the next?
