Heard the owner got arrested in Costa Rica so the whole site is down. Does anyone know of a good site so I can exchange for bitcoins

If you're looking to buy bitcoins, then Try BtcQuick, they allow you to buy bitcoins with a Debit or Credit card.  

For standard Bank wires I imagine any of the exchanges, like Mt.Gox, would work for you as well.
