Dear community!
Thank you for your interest in the project and support! It's really important!
Sorry for the long delay in my answers.

when gui wallet done?
The gui wallet will be done in a few days or earlier. This is the first task to be solved.
gui wallet is already available on Linux systems, e.g. Ubuntu.
I know that most users use Windows, but for using gui wallet before the windows version is done you may:
1. Install dependencies:
Code:
$ sudo apt-get install git build-essential libssl-dev libboost-all-dev libdb5.3++-dev qt4-default qt4-qmake
2. Clone the project:
Code:
$ cd ~
$ git clone https://github.com/amcoin/amcoin
3. Create config:
Code:
$ mkdir ~/.amcoin
$ cp amcoin/amcoin.config ~/.amcoin/amcoin.conf
4. Set rpcuser and rpcpassword what ever you like.
You may uncomment that lines:
rpcuser - https://github.com/amcoin/amcoin/blob/master/amcoin.conf#L77
rpcpassword - https://github.com/amcoin/amcoin/blob/master/amcoin.conf#L79
5. Compile wallet:
Code:
$ cd ~/amcoin
$ qmake "USE_UPNP=-"
$ make
6. Run wallet:
Code:
$ ./Amcoin-qt &
7. Use it
http://prntscr.com/giuuwb

I can build an explorer and maintain it. But i would like to see a little more involvement from the dev.
It would be great! Please PM for details! The explorer is the second task, but no less priority.

Are you planning to maintain is single-handedly?
Unfortunately, I don't have a large team, and most of the problems I solve myself. Any volunteers are welcome!

No premine is cool; too bad asics miners will join the party.
any plans for POS/masternodes ?
You are right! Hashrate is grows quite fast, but a very small part of the coins generated.
POS/masternodes - I'm not ready to comment on this yet.

so, three tasks are planned in a very near time
1. windows wallet
2. block explorer
3. promo and a detail guides

I recommend to try use a linux gui wallet for getting AMC address and connecting to pickaxe.online pool with any power you have.
At the moment network stats is:
blocks generated: 10257
networkhashps: 266601534
difficulty: 3.32142314

Also I want to say next:
If we allow mistakes that will not allow the creation of NOT A GARBAGE coin,
but we will collect experience and suggestions/criticism we'll can launch a such coin that needed the community.
Please, help with it!
Because I don't aim to HYPE or another scam.
Many coins are present, but at the exchanges it's perceived as a garbage or speculative unit,
dump be own creators right after creation.

Tell me what kind of roadmap you would like to see? what else should I do first?
Thanks a lot again for understanding.

Hi Dev

Can you explain the IRC connection in Windows Wallet logs? It's kind of dubious looking.

(other users can also check this by going to HELP, then Debug, then Open Debug Logfile).

Is it just bootstrapping from IRC?

While everyone does start somewhere or the other, I am happy that you thought about this project and wanted to code your own coin. I too dream of doing this someday though Smiley

To bring in people and create interest, you would need an ANN thread with graphics and emphasize on the core details of your wallet. You will also need a roadmap/plan and keep updating your folks with the progress.

I wish you all the very best.

Have a pleasant day.

it looks like there should be more details about this coin, purpose, concept, and also roadmap
I will see the progress of this thread, if good, maybe I'm interested to mine it

Hi, PotatoPants!
Yes, this is debug information which shows actions of wallet (e.g. connection attempts) and chain data (e.g. new blocks, best chains, etc.).
Thank you for using AmCoin!

Thanks for replying.

To my eyes, the debug file shows that the client opens a connection to an IRC Server, (in this case irc.smutfairy.com) and makes a user.

Is this correct? If so, why is this happening?
