If you have some BTCs, why not have some Gold too?

Well I do have some gold also, good gold, like 100 grams or so. Let me see: my wedding rings (my wedding was in 1997, I divorced in 1998, now I do not know where in this world, literary, is my wife), my necklace, other two necklaces, a gold doxa watch,... I am haiving this gold before having bitcoin and you know what: I could garther in 1.5 years about 0.54 bitcoin (I sold it when its price was 3000 USD, 3 months ago) whose value became comparable with that of the gold that I have. So what is prefferable, have some gold (for which I worked about 10 years) or have some bitcoin of the same value for which I worked 1.5 years?!

You can have them both, but bitcoin is easier to handle than gold. You can easily store, trade and spend bitcoin. But gold in the other hand is harder to purchase, store and spend. And bitcoin appreciates faster than gold, so if I have excess money, it will go to bitcoin than gold.

Literally, Im not the type of person that will collect an asset just because it's beautiful. But for investment, Im eyeing to have at least a decent Oz of gold even back when bitcoin price was still below at $500 level. Unfortunately I don't have an idea how to enter the gold market or does it make sense for a small player to enter this kind of trading activity which unlike in bitcoin that we can play and hold a fraction of it.

Up to today, Im not closing my door for gold investment. It's just that there is a problem about accessing it and lack of knowledge on which I didn't bother to learn. But who knows someday.

possibly reason is bitcoin price raises so fast & bitcoin gives us a chance to make a lot of profit from it but besides gold price raises so slowly & gives us low profit than bitcoin. furthermore bitcoin have some more facilities but gold haven't. i think that's people would like to investment with bitcoin than gold.

I see no reason for me not to buy gold, but not as a store of value but for me to make use of it. I only prefer to store my precious bitcoin as a store of value because its value appreciate more faster as compared to gold. And bitcoin can be easily use to purchase things online, send to someone and can be earn online through services rendered to companies.

Honestly, i like the idea. Gold is also one of my investment dreams. If i be earning much in bitcoin, will put some in gold also. It can be an inheritance to my children's children too.

This. Not that my area is bad, but if someone broke into your house how likely would they be to steal a chunk of gold or jewellery vs demanding you to hand over your private key

If you got burgled by someone IT Savy with time to dig through your browser history and realise you got $$$ elsewhere well then I guess your screwed

I think bitcoin and gold are a very promising investment in the future, so it would be nice if we had both investments. bitcoin as an investment of digital currency and gold as an investment in the real world. each of them has advantages and disadvantages, so there's nothing wrong if you have gold and bitcoin at once.

I also invested in gold, but the percentage is not that big because gold's price rising is slow from year to year the rising is not too much, but if you see Bitcoin price chart you will see how fast the price rising, and then Bitcoin also can be used in gambling and for transactions

I want to have some gold too but I find it more interesting just to stay with bitcoin and be with other investments but not with gold. When it comes to gold here in my country there are a lot of things that other people will think about you. That's why I'm trying to avoid to be on that situation and better rely with other investments including bitcoin.

The number one factor on why I do not own any gold right now is due to its nature, not being digital and virtual. Investing into bitcoin is as easy as walking in the park due to being available in the internet. Also, earning bitcoin is very convenient compared to gold, with a lot of paper works and stuff due to being regulated by the government. Lastly, earning bitcoin is easier since it serves as an equalizer among the rich and the poor in terms of having the opportunity to have one.

Also, I would like to invest in gold too, but I am capable of just buying some golden items, noting more, to be in possession of something that has that value. Dose are my possibilities at the moment. So I am in bitcoin world only.

Having both maybe one of the best things that will happen in my life. Gold is also an asset but since the existence of bitcoin, but the latter has been the choice of most people since it can be easily invested due to the fact that it's digital and can easily be used in certain transactions. More so, most of the people can easily earn btc rather than buy gold.
