What I am selling

I am selling a Cascascius 2013 0.5BTC coin.

The coin is loaded (so you can get the BTC but also some alts like Clams for instance).

I bought it in this auction, on this forum, back in the days in 2013: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=221343.msg2353660#msg2353660

The seller at that time, molecular, included a certificate of existence. I have a high-resolution digital picture of this coin, whose hash was included in the blockchain on the 31th of May, 2013, proving the existence of this very coin and that it is a real Casascius*. I will send this digital picture of the certificate to the buyer of the coin.
*: Molecular and his partner messed up the certificates themselves, and this certificate mentions the hash of another coin sold at the same time. Nevertheless the actual, correct hash of the picture of this coin is indeed included in the same transaction as mentioned on the certificate, so the important part is correct.

You can see pictures of this beauty here: http://imgur.com/a/PiwJu?

Given my trust record, I don't want to bother with escrow. By bidding you accept to send BTC first, then I'll send the coin with a tracking number via UPS or Fedex (or equivalent). Sending fees is on me, up to 200$, so please take that into account when you bid.

Auction conditions

Starting price is 0.6 BTC. Bid increment by 0.01 minimum.
Auction runs until the end of this Sunday, 10th of September. Any valid bid adds 15mn to the deadline.
Happy bids!

This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

"Given my trust record, I don't want to bother with escrow"
Why not?
Most of your feedback is over 2 years old..... this does not give much reassurance to any bidder/buyer.....

I don't want to have the slightest chance of dealing with somebody that pretends to not receive the coin and then waste time. Basically I don't want to waste my time in any way when selling this, take it or leave it.
I run luckyb.it and xmr.to, my reddit account has the same name as my bitcointalk account, I am happy to prove any of this privately if you want. I trust this should be enough.

If you do accept escrow, I bid 0.6BTC

Minimum increment is 0.01, there is already a bid of 0.6BTC.

"I run luckyb.it and xmr.to, my reddit account has the same name as my bitcointalk account"

What does this have to do with you being a trusted seller/trader??

It hints that I don't give a shit about scamming for the amounts we're talking about in this thread?

EDIT: Additionally, I mentioned my reddit account because I'm happy to use it to prove my bitcointalk did not get hacked lately.

Why?  Did someone say that you were hacked??
This is a weird comment to make.....
Because you said this earlier:
Most of your feedback is over 2 years old..... this does not give much reassurance to any bidder/buyer.....
I assumed you were afraid my account was recently hacked. Otherwise I don't really see what is the problem with feedback being old (quite the contrary).
It is quite funny that your trust rating is worse than mine and you are used as escrow and complain I do it directly.

You make a business as an escrow, that may explain your insistence. Though, if you are not interested in this specific auction (and I note that so far, you made no valid bid -- your bid was conveniently the same as the previous one -- so you are not "provably" interested) please stop spamming this auction thread.

People who trust me enough are free to participate, people who are not, are equally free not to participate.

Thank you, that is the best bid so far.

I could have made a business as an escrow too, given my history in the space. I do not see the point of using one myself therefore for the amounts we are talking about.
I do not want to sound pompous, and made clear the conditions from the start. Then everyone make their decisions.

Thank you Cheesy

Thanks to you. I expect a positive trust rating when you receive the coin (if you win)!  Smiley

Correct, this bid was too late.
