1. Make sure your BitcoinTalk account is registered before Sept 7, 2017 (otherwise you need to contact dev after finishing the following steps - your account is register on 25 september. best way is to join discord and send semux a massege or send him an p.m.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Already 203200 SEMs has been distributed. That's 20.33% of the allotted 1M SEMs for airdrop.

How much semux earn a validator?
Validators earn 10 SEMs per block + transaction fees. Block forging is done by validators round robin style.

It would be cool if there was some way to have the rules reward delegates right now. For example, maybe 5% of the time a validator's rewards get distributed to a delegate chosen at random. Like a lottery for delegates. Just an idea. I guess it will be more interesting to be a delegate when pools become available.
with pool you don't need to be delegate, pools is validator and redistributes coin to user.. more coin send on the pool account more reward earnings I thought only the delegates and validators can vote though? I was thinking pools would be a bunch of delegates getting together to vote up the pool's chosen validator. Then that validator would redistribute anything it mined to the pool's members.

All accounts can vote on delegates. Once the delegate has enough votes to get to top 100 it becomes a validator and forges blocks.

Okay thanks, I think I've got it now: delegates only purpose is basically to be validator applicants. So only one delegate (elevated to validator) would be necessary for a pool. I guess I shouldn't have payed that 1000 SEM to become a delegate
