hi,guys,i am newbie,i got 5 sem last week, are all newbies got 5 coin ?
Me only get 7 semux even though I'm upgraded to Jr. Member just asking any mistake? Pro-rata? @semux  |

It seems a good project, very active development, good progress. Right now, I think the dev team shouldn't list this coin on any exchange, just wait util it has a stable wallet and key feature is ready.

The wiki page is not so begginer friendly. So i have little over 1100 SEM and i try to understand what's the thing with delegate. If i register as a delegate i need to: - keep the app opened all the time?
- burn 1000.05 coins forever?
- anything else?
- and i do this for? what are my chances to find a block with so little SEM available? i need to vote or something or is it all automatically?

I've been on the tool to see my btc balance at the time of the snapshot but I have a ledger and my total balance is divided into 5 addresses. As I can't change which address I sign with the ledger so not sure what to do. Any ideas dev?

you also need to vote up yourself to get a validator for generating SEM, so you need also 34.000 more SEM. 1 vote is 1 SEM. |

The only reason to register as a delegate is to potentially become a validator (this protocols version of miners), and you'll need to be in the top 64 in votes (100 in mainnet) to reach validator status. So only a validator would have to be running 24/7. - burn 1000.05 coins forever?
After mainnet launch yes, but I believe you'll get them back if you want to try it out now on RC5. As was mentioned, 1 vote per 1 SEM. |

I don't expect the dev to be very active here in the thread because he must be very busy right now coding and preparing for the mainnet launch! I'm very excited  The the launch date is January 20, 2018. We're still internally preparing for it. Another round of stress test over the RC network will be conducted before the main net goes live. Just want to thank you and all of the Semux devs for a phenomenal job with Semux! You've demonstrated top class leadership and development skill. We are really excited about the upcoming launch and the future roadmap. Highly anticipating the last round of stress tests: we hope to sustain 10,000 txs/block! Please PM us if there are any special node configuration required. Well done guys. Thank you for your dedication and amazing work. Looking forward for the main net launch on January 20th! |
