Once again, after my last post ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2159012.msg30235042#msg30235042 ) i moved some votes so i can calculate which pool gives the best returns, so here are my latest results: Some observations (same like last week): - i used only the first 2 decimals 0,00
- this is somehow irrelevant because daily pay is correlated with how many blocks that particular pool forged in that day; this is only a post offered for guidance. plus if a pool has too many votes the payout will be smaller, so try to spread your votes as much as possible (and to pools located on the bottom of delegators list); just a week and my small number of votes (100-200 per pool) are not enough to take a conclusion (but i'm getting there);
- i will remove all my votes from pools with more than 8% fee. i think that is too much and i won't help them. i'm still waiting for pools with 1-2%, that's a standard in cryptocurrencies pools. Animals fee of 25 is way too high; this week i will remove all my small vote, for semuxpool and mddsemuxpool (i had some votes there only for spreading my votes) and i will remove some votes from 100_token_par (even though they say they have the smallest fee, i received a smaller reward than from other pools, most probably because they do have a LOT of votes - 4thplace on delegates);
- you can check user levyashin post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2159012.msg29319963#msg29319963) he is keeping a great list of pools and fees. Or go to official discord (https://discordapp.com/invite/qQVckKZ) and there's a channel #pools if any questions;
- semux has 2 very good block explorers https://semux.info/explorer and http://semuxchain.info/;
- if anyone can make me a good offer for 1350 votes PM me (VOTES only, i'm not selling).
Last week i made 15.25 SEM using 1240 votes. Now i made 19.22 SEM using 1288 votes (one extra day was added, for the same number of days i made ~ 17 sem). So optimising votes is important. nice but for a good statics you need to put in relationship the number total vote for each pool and the number of block forged Thank you and appreciate your work for detailed statistic report it going to be better if you make a separated website updated everyweek . now first choice for the week is lvl3pool

Is there any discussion about increasing from 100 delegates? I feel like that creates an undo amount of centralization. If that were increased to 500-1000 that would ensure a more fair distribution long term.

It says there is a deadline of Feb 25th but also "the event has been completed" on the website it doesn't say that it's been completed, so I guess I will register and hope for the best.

do we have to paste our BTC signature into this thread to claim the airdrop?
or is just using the website sufficient?
thanks
Don't post BTC signatures or addresses in this thread because it could get the dev into trouble with the moderators. Use the website.

Looks like lvl3pool is the best one with lowest fee. It is time to do the revoting...

Long-lasted signature campaign for SEMUX supporters. Nevertheless, the problem is when official exchange accept this coin. I am waiting patiently for the first exchange, then consider buying SEMUX and expanding my portfolio a little bit. Yeah everyone is expecting the first offical exchange, but if you really want to invest, I recommand you can join in discord channel https://discordapp.com/invite/qQVckKZ , specially on trading sub-channel. There are a numerous deal of offers for you. Actually it is the best time to buy this coin before releasing the decentralized application.

You are so dedicated to your interesting statistics. Thanks. Seems all animal pools fee really too high, however they are stable and their payments often on time. Some other pools can increase their fee accidentally. And one more thing I would say that it takes some cost when revoting.

Not that I know of, but ask devs. Understood that 100 was the maximum validators/mining that the network could scale to. To get high speed tx finality and scaling to 5,000-10,000 txs/block validators are fully connected. Even at 100, if you compare ETH and BTC (whose mining is actually very centralized to a few pools) Semux is a lot better looking. Compare the Semux world map ( https://semux.info/delegates) to Ethereum's ( https://ethstats.net/). Etherum only has 44 pools/miners listed there, while semux has more than double with 100 validators. In terms of geographic distribution Semux looks better too. To prove that Semux even has a validator in Yellowknife Canada (Northern Territories). Didn't know they have fast internet in such a remote location! Also compared to POS systems like NXT and ARDR where the bulk of blocks are mined by the top 7 or so accounts, semux is way better because it tries to divide blocks among all 100 validators evenly. It's not perfect, but it's pretty damn good and seems like the way forward.

Will there be an announcement on Feb 25th about another airdrop? Perhaps to ETH holders this time?

Nothing specific for now. The team is still discussing what better ways to distribute the rest of the community coins.

My suggestion over how to distribute the rest of the Semux in community fund: Distribution scheme similar to Bitcore and DeepOnion, which you get weekly airdrop base on how many coins you have. Semux will circulate only around Semux holders to keep up the stable price and prevent the dump.

However, I wouldn't limit the airdrop to community member/semux holders because this will limit adoption. I would suggest having this semux HODLers airdrop together with other methods that will invite new people to join the semux community.

Since want to airdrop, I think we should consider from many sided, a snapshot of the sem chain, or to the new member of the community to join ratio should be controlled well, or there are other promotion rewards.
