Is Raspberry Pi mining profitable ???

Hello Minners,

     (I have completely no idea about mining )


I am planing to purchase Raspberry Pi  + ASIC .

Can you please guide me , how much profit can i earn on daily basis with this setup
-- ) Raspberry Pi  + 1 ASIC

Or please suggest a cheaper way  to start mining .

If there is any detailed tutorial, please send links to the tutorial about Raspberry Pi Mining .

What ASIC are your planning on buying?

If you buy antminer you might not need to use the RPI unless you plan on hosting a proxy connection or running your own small node with it.

Most miners come with API and GUI for setting up.

The Gridseed is mainly used to mine LTC and it isn't too profitable (maybe a couple pennies if you're lucky). Don't even think about mining BTC with it for profit- when it was released, the miner had below-average efficiency for its time. Now it's just an energy hog and mostly a collectible.

I need suggestions , If i start mining what hardware should I go for.

No, take it as there is no profit in ANY crypto-coin mining when using vastly under-powered hardware.

CPU mining, eg just a RasPi by itself or even the best XEON 16-core PC is useless. Bitcoin mining requires ASIC-based miners. Period.
Altcoin miners do use a PC as a controller but have multiple GPU (video) cards doing the work.

Both are very profitable assuming you have a decent cost of electricity and a place to put them that can deal with their heat and noise.

8 cents a kwatt means you have a chance to profit.

Bitcoin miners are very loud.

The Avalon 741 is about 800 usd. Add a rasp pi and a psu it is near 1000 it make 8 or 9 a day.

Can't you save money by flashing the Pi yourself? I recall I saw a guide for doing that by Avalon and it seems that'd save you a lot over how much Avalon charges. For PSUs you can get a decent server psu that can power it under 100 or rarely 80-50, so it'd be closer to 900 if you're lucky.

Read about mining.  Google is your friend.  No one has been able to mine Bitcoin without using super specialized-hardware for nearly 4 years.  You can buy a R-Pi for $35.00  If it could be used to profitably do anything, you would not be able to find them for sale, except on Ebay for 3-4x retail.

I built 3 rasp pi 3s   I can build one for about 60  it is better then the one they sell for 100. i use a 16gb card they use a 8 gb card.
