(some how the post decded to post before i was done here is the whole thing)

Introducing myself...."I am your father"....Almanter.....i am still new at bitcoin mining running 400m/hash (2x5770 (one just got started yesterday)) with a 5830 on its way....

LET THE QUESTIONS (aka. n00bness) BEGIN

so mining has been pretty easy...we are now up to about 1.3btc....deep bit was telling me with just my one 5770 i was getting about .24btc/24hr .......does that sound about right?

my stats so far are

1st 5770
Shares: 23928
Stale:   (2.15%)

2nd 5770 (just started)
Stale:   (1.81%)

also the 2nd 5770 is running about 30mash slower than the 1st 5770...they are on different computer bother with windows 7 and guminer....i know its not much
but is there anything i can try?

Are these stat about regular? if not how to i change that?

Also
I am running guiminer on both machines have had a connection problems but i think mostly Deepbit fault

2011-06-22 21:41:32: Listener for "Default": 22/06/2011 21:41:32, Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC

but it looks like it reconnects itself.....

There are a few errors that Guiminer console has but not sure what to do about them if anything about it
I like to be very effecient....i am not always infront of my computer so i dont like having to baby my workers...i do have to say that deepbit looks like its getting smoother....

here is the long poll again but i dont know why the miner is idle....it didnt last long...just curious mostly......Good, Bad, Nothing i can do about it?

We are also trying to get a card working on a linux machine...we have been using LinuxCoin 0.2A on a usb drive.

I boot up and then I accept the agreements. I then open terminal and type start_mining and go through the prompts. when I get to the last one it opens a second terminal window and gives me this error message.

Exception in thread Thread-2: Traceback (most recent call last):   File "/usr/lib/python2.6/threading.py", line 532, in __bootstrap_inner     self.run()   File "/usr/lib/python2.6/threading.py", line 484, in run     self.__target(*self.__args, **self.__kwargs)   File "/opt/miners/poclbm/BitcoinMiner.py", line 272, in miningThread     self.loadKernel()   File "/opt/miners/poclbm/BitcoinMiner.py", line 373, in loadKernel     binaryW = open(cacheName, 'wb') IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: 'dcce8da3d60a84c022cc4b67611b4972.elf'

Your connection issues aren't your fault. It is the pool you're mining on.
www.Bitclockers.com has better programmers and less downtime and fees.
Your payout sounds about right but on bitclockers you'll get 10% more.
