I've never actually had any issues with ICOs and in all fairness there is a fair amount to be made if you want/can put some time into helping with the bounties.

also i then invest a small amount and see what the performance is like. if i feel as though not enough has gone into the development/marketing then i have the option to sell out at release.

They are thinking to invest in those icos that already had a lot of the demands. that gives the possibility to reach the hardcap and a lot of people will try to flip it again in another ico and that was i can get from there.

see i've done that and it works very well. i've also sold out on release as prices are pumped then as soon as they drop again i tend to buy in. i done this with the likes of Waves and a couple of others.

Of course they're thinking that its price will go to the moon and take profit from it.
As for investing in ICOs, I don't really know about that, but seems like it was all about profit.
Well, I'm more like a day trader. I wouldn't hold my alts for a really long time since I tend to panic if the price fall like crazy.

Depends on whether you prefer to invest in coins or ICOs. It's very rare to get short term gains from ICOs, but they might bring you the highest profit.
It's great to get short term gains on trading, but often traders loose faster than they can invest, as the market is highly volatile.
I stick with ICOs. Find the idea I believe in and wait for my profit Smiley

Depends upon the type of altcoin that I am trading. Also I use TA to make decisions. Coins that have good fundaments, I invest in for a long haul. For other shitcoins I usually play swing trading.

Deffinetly it depends on the different types of altcoins, some altcoins you need to hold for a longterm because their platforms will apppear in future and it will get this coin to the moon. On the other hand some coins is better to hold for long term, because they can simply fall down in price.

I think most people are doing the same as the OP
Holding some coins long term and trading others or
portions of the same for the short term!

Myself I am holding Bitcoin of course and some old
reliable alt's for the long term.
and I am also trading on and off the same types of coins.

Actually it depends on your goal to reach a profit in investing ICO's. Because once you invest on a coin you will verify its roadmap and if it has a good project that worth investing for a long term or short term. In a short term you might get a little profit on a short period of time. So you will balance your trading term for a long or short term gains.

I as being a part time altcoin trader, my focus is on long term as I have a constant income that I'm saving and investing on Altcoin hoping to get over x10 within 2-3 years.

For alt it is so hard to hold it for a long time when it falls so dump much better if its bitcoin theres a possibility and think so positively that it goes back again and it will pump but for alt there is no such positive thing.

It depends on the coins you invest and yes but for me i still prefer in a long term trades a i can see a huge profit in long term but if you see that the coins is not doing good then sell it and choose another good one

I use altcoins which cost a lot, such as Litecoin, Etherum and Bitcoin cash for a short time investment, I'm trading it so to say. And I have investment in couple of ICOs projects this summer and the plan is to hold it till the price will not raise Wink

Personally I see 'investing' and 'trading' as two different things, for me 'investing' is buying a coin for the longer term and holding it until it reaches a set value whereas 'trading' is short term, buying a coin and intending to sell it in a very short period of time for a small gain.

I mostly invest for long term whether it is an ICO token or an altcoin or bitcoin for that matter. My perception is since I already placed a capital for that certain coin then why not go for long term instead of short term and as long as I don't need the money yet then it'll stay there for a while.

I'm a mixture of both; I store about 70% of my crypto in Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Dash.  Then I have about 30% of it in an exchange with a trading bot (Gunbot) going after short term volatility.  And of course, I'm keeping all my DeepOnion from the signature campaign for a long term... which surprisingly is quickly becoming my largest holding!

Warren Buffet would say go for long term if you want to be rich, or flip flop then cry. Long term with Ark as crypto is still young.
