Coinbase Applying ZERO% Network Fee

I was going to take some BTC out of my Coinbase account and put it into my Blockchain wallet, but then I noticed that the network is at 0.0000BTC. It's always been non-zero before.

I'm afraid to send this and have the priority on the transaction be so low that it never gets solved.

Anyone know what's up?

Do you have the transaction ID of the transaction in question?

Post it here so i can have a look for you.

If it is true that they did not pay any fees at all, then this is unacceptable conduct from Coinbase. They are charging you a specific amount in transaction fees and you would expect that everything you pay goes towards the actual miner's fees in your transaction. I have never had this problem before with coinbase though.

I know that coinbase to coinbse (email to email)transaction are free(no charge needed),But  when you tried to send btc another wallet like blockchain or any other bitcoin address you need to pay charge.Whatever happened with you,please share the TDX here. I want to check it. Please give us the TXD ....

I don't know what's wrong with Coinbase, but a zero-fee transaction might be acceptable.  Sometimes, zero-fee transactions have actually been getting confirmed lately, although it may take a long time.

Worst-case scenario is that Coinbase sends a no-fee transaction and you have to use a paid accelerator like ViaBTC's additional paid service or btc.com's accelerator.  With a large amount it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

If you're really worried you can always try contacting Coinbase's support, but if this forum is anything to go by it's practically non-existent.

Oh, its really a great news for all the bitcoin community specially for microearners that coinbase changed the network fees to zero. I was using coinbase till 3 months back. But when they started to charge high transaction fees, I stopped using coinbase and started using desktop wallet. I will open my coinbase account and see whether the transaction fees is really zero or not.

This. I just tried it, and initially it states zero fees, but as soon as you select an amount to be sent, it will display the fee. However, I must point out that instead of the 0.0012BTC fees they were charging people for external transactions previously, it has now decreased to 0.00041BTC in my case. I think they were experiencing a massive drop in actual usage of their platform as wallet service, and thus decided to take the necessary steps to stimulate people to start transacting again. It's funny how some people here directly jump on this "zero fee" thread with great excitement, but without actually knowing anything.
