Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

If it's too good to be true, it's scam. Never fails.

It's hard to make money, and if an investment site for example offers an unbelievable profit, then it is a scam. Also ask people about its reputation in order to ensure legitimacy.

I see a lot of posts about free coin and ask for a wallet address, maybe that's part of a scam
because maybe getting a free coin is not easy

It's binary. Most people don't need to say it's scam, even if a couple people say it is (with something to support their claims) it's scam.

you always have to do research, check out the team do they have social accounts? can you identify them?
do they offer something new to the market or are they just copy pasting a previous solution to just another project

projects that don't offer anything new are usually good candidates, try checking out the team and doing a research whether the really exist (social media etc.)

You have to watch at the so called red flags, which with some experience you learn to recognize. For example lack of details on mechanisms, anonymous team, etc.
