Hey noobs,
For .01 Bitcoins, if you exchange a message or two with me displaying your knowledge of bitcoins and anything related, and I feel your knowledge is sufficient to be a non-newbie, I will personally vouch for you in the Whitelist thread. I have done it for a user before, and it helped expedite the process!

I think it's a great system as those individuals looking to come with malicious intent need to be really devoted to their cause to jump through the hoops.

Charging people to get out of the newbie section? Not sure if I agree with this at all.

Any only a chance at that. It's not as if every single reference posted on that white list gets instantly approved.

It's not even as if the newbie section is that bad, you simply can't reply to topics outside of here, it's not as if you can't read all the good stuff.

Yeah, I don't agree with this at all, even charging less than you are would be wrong. Because you can't guarantee they'll get out early.
Plus, they only have to post a little and be on for 4 hours, that's not worth paying g 0.01 just to get out.

nice shakedown for new people...

"Welcome to the greatest thing happening on the net right now... By the way, give me your lunch money"

This post sums up why all this bullshit is a scam

Vouches are far more likely to be whitelisted, so most staff would be happy to take the request. However, only a handful of staff actually check the whitelist thread, so vouches are better sent to a staff member directly. First, check if one of the global mods are online. If not, try one of the many staff, giving preference to the specific newbie forum mods (currently psy, SomeoneWeird, MiningBuddy, and tysat).

I don't recommend doing that for general whitelist requests (although John will take those directly, too), but for vouches it should be fine.
